If you are a little paranoid, WE are in good company.
I like your choice of the word "uneasy". That describes me also, not panicked, or scared, or other words of that nature. Just uneasy enough to keep an eye out for any type of news on the subject.

You are justified any time someone is trying to influence your leaders, however that is the way of government.
Lobbying is as American as apple pie.
Lobby groups work for you on many issues, however, and many of them may be very good for all of us.
As a voter you are a member of the largest and most influential lobby group. Make sure your legislators know how you feel.
