So what if it's "Socialist"?

A lot of programs in America are 'Socialist' i.e. Teachers, Libraries, Postal Service

The problem with health care in america is that insurance companies make money. Insurance should be a governmental program because if they are making money, that means that they're exploiting their customers. Countries such as Britain, Canada, and France have universal health care and their average life expectancy is higher. Why not have it in America?

I've been told about a regulation that states if you receive a certain amount of money, i.e. an inheritance or winning the lottery, you can be discharged from the military. However, no one I've talked to actually knows what the regulation is, or the amount of money you need. Any help with this would be greatly appreciated.

Or would it just be common sense to require only ONE and let us learn as many others as we VOLUNTEER to learn?

[I speak English and Chinese, have family in Mexico, Germany and much of Asia and have seen people learn English from zero in under a year...WHILE WORKING.]

Far from being worn down bye the past few years, Bush seems empowered. His self-confidence is the most remarkable feature of his presidency. It's so clear to me, i have trouble understanding why it is unclear to everybody else!

Yes I totally agree that people who are living in the US should know English and should make the effort to learn the best they can. That's just common sense and also respectful.

But what about Spanish which is also spoken in the US?

Do you think it is a good idea for foreigners to try to learn Spanish too?

The movie hasn't done well, but I guess that indulging Hollywood's far left fantasies is the important thing to them.
