around what years did the general public (in the US mainly, but other countries too) begin to cry out against domestic abuse/violence, as opposed to before when it was seen as a personal matter that outsiders were to stay out of?

Do other contries not deserve the right to create there own society? How come the USA pick's and choose's who they want to help? are there not countries who’s people were far worse off than the Iraqi people?(like in Africa)why is it OK for the US to have an enormous stockpile of nuclear arms and then call other countries evil for trying to create the same deterrent system? When i was young there was a bullie in my village who would call everyone stupid and push his weight around as we got older it was him that was stupid. is this the same as the USA calling other contries evil? are they the evil ones? how come thay never help people who dont have things thay want?

there are a bunch of kids in my neighborhood that are always coming on my front lawn and sometimes climb on our tree. they have no respect at all for our property. we do not have any children here so there is no reason for them to come on my property for anything. we are working on getting a fence around the property. until we do......is that considered trespassing and if i call the cops will they actually do anything about it?

Imagine this situation. Someone stole from my store but I did not catch him/her in the act, only on my security camera. After a period of time, that same person came back to my store (without stealing) and I still have the footage. Can I still bring that person to justice or is there like a time limit on that period of time? What would be the penalty and does this differ from grocery stores to big stores like Walgreen? Respected sources would be great.

Please don't get me wrong. I'm fully against illegal immigration, it does nothing but cause trouble and place a heavy burden on the shoulders of citizens. But seriosly, there's only so much WE can do to fix the problem. If we really want to see a secure border and the laws enforced, it's ultimately up to the government to do that. Unfortunately, Big Brother has no interest in doing we want. (If they did, those borders would have been locked down a long time ago)

Republicans, backed by big business, see illegals as a source of cheap labor, while Democrats see them as potential voters. So either way, were screwed! All the Presidential frontrunners of both parties I see have pro-illegal leanings, the only politicians I see that are really anti-illegal are Tom Tancredo, Ron Paul, and Duncan Hunter (all of whom have slim chances of winning the race)

I don't know. I'm trying to be optimistic but at the same time I don't see us coming any closer to meeting our goals.

The 'boys club" really rags on her. I hadn't picked anyone in particular I want to win for president. But now I am wondering why they are so intimidated by her. Pretty soon, people are going to listening to hear what she has to say. The boys club is really doing themselves more harm. What do you think?

Just finished watching it, scared the s**t out of me. And to be honest, really had a very misguided message. Im not sure if it was supposed to be defending muslims because it didn't. It left me with a feeling that multiculturalism is going to end us all. Having people in your country who dont agree with something to an extent where they will kill themselves and hundreds of innocent victims cant be a good thing. But the programme left me feeling that muslim culture and british culture are totally seperate and quite obviously should not be mixed - i know 52 people that probably would agree with me (if they wernt dead)

I graduate nursing school in may and decided I want to join the AF. I went for my interview and filled out all the things. My application is now being reviewed and I find out at the end of this month if I get in. I will be an officer so I can't just sign up...I had to apply. I am now getting second thoughts...is it to late to back out. I haven't officially signed my contract yet, but did sign a lot of other things. I just want to have a baby soon and get married now. I am just so confused. Any suggestion?? Is it to late to back out??

The Trilateral Commission , The Bilderberger's and the Council on Foreign Relations are the folks really in charge and have been for a very long time. Why do we have elections? It doesn't matter who wins, it is still the same old agenda term after term. Doesn't matter who you vote for. And now we have Blackwater....hmmmmm...sounds like a private militia to me. Get ready folks for the next Holocaust! The dollar is plummeting.

I wanted to know if there is a way to get around the 60 college credit requirement to join the NYPD. I already passed the entrance exam. But when I got to the police academy they said I still needed 60 college credits! I have completed only six college credits. I am out of money so I can't pay for college right now. And the last thing I need is more loans. So is there a way I can take some kind of test to get more college credits or something? I have a clean criminal record. I have a clean driver’s license; I am born and raised in NYC! I really want to be a police officer, but this 60 college credit requirement is really standing in my way. I want to be a cop so I can help and protect people. What can I do? I have a family so money is really tight. I would appreciate any help. Thanks!
