Is the word fundamentalist too big for them?

I don't know about you, but when I hear the word radical I think secular, probably godless, egalitarian, socially liberal, left-wing environmentalist/animal rights activist.

Can a group who stones gays and feminists, wants women covered up from head to toe, believes in prayer in the schools, religion in the government, and thinks western popular culture is leading to social decay, be described as radical when the word fundamentalist seems so much more appropriate?

Remember lacy peterson, or the lady a few weeks back that was killed by her boyfriend cop? A pregnant woman get's killed and it is charged as a double murder, yet if the same woman were to have an abortion then everything would be ok? I'm not arguing prolife/ prochoice!! I want to know your thoughts on the real or perceived hypocracy. If you didn't want it killed then it is murder but if you do want it killed then it's an abortion? Who makes that call? It's not a life if the woman decideds to terminate the pregnancy, but if someone terminates the pregnancy then it is murder? Let's say a pregnant woman was on the way to an abortion clinic and is killed on the way...is that a double murder. Pregnant drug addicts whose babies die because of drugs can be charged with murder. This makes no sense to me. I'm not defending murder here nor do I care about your opinions on whether or not we should have abortion. I'm only wondering if anyone else see's the hypocracy here...your thoughts....

It could quite easily be called a million front war.

First front: fighting every insurgent, guerilla, nationalist who has raised arms against us.

Second Front: Iraq, where the country is collapsing into civil war and Bush says its crucial in fighting the war on terror.

Third Front: Afghanastan where the Taliban is inching closer to Kabul in ever increasing attacks.

Long ago I came to the conclusion, when there is a call to fight, follow the money.

A congressional report in 2005 said that the USA supplies 35% of the worlds arms. Some organizations put that figure at better then half.

How are we to "Win" the war on terror when we can't even win it on the second and third front.

This is not a republican vs democratic issue. Both are using the same "Win" at any cost rhetoric.

Follow the money

Well, im just curious about Embryonic stem cell research.

- About how many embryos are made and killed each year.

- Why not Adult stem cells? there hasnt been a succesful cure using embryonic stem cells yet, but there have been plenty for adult. Taking stem cells from and adult doesnt even harm them. Why kill an embryo when there hasnt been a succesful cure using their stem cells? Why cant we just use adults? it cost less first of all, its not harmful, and its proven to cure.

Why then Abraham Lincoln wait until January 1, 1863, almost two full years after the Civil War started, before he issued the Emancipation Proclamation freeing all slaves?
If slavery was the sole issue for the American Civil War won't you think that Abraham Lincoln would have freed the slaves at the beginning of the Civil War instead of halfway through it.
