everytime i turn on the news its always about ''paris hilton in jail'' or ''paris hilton OUT of jail''...or ''lindsay lohan arrested, once again''- why can't the media talk about more important issues like darfur, poverty or global warming...why does the whole world have to revolve around celebrities

Don't forget about the mayor of L.A. The news is focused more on his performance in the bedroom than his performance on the job. Which is zero to none. I get a kick out of listening to him speak. Reminds me of watching my 4th grader's spelling bee. It's a freaking joke.

"Hate" isn't strong enough of a word.
They recovered the body of one of our troops kidnapped in Iraq a few weeks ago and the main story on the front page of the morning paper were the results of the American Idol finals.
I decided right then that I'm not ever going to buy another newspaper for as long as I live. And I long ago swore off of network TV news.

I totally agree with you. Come on now...don't people have anything better to do then care about how these "celebrities" are making horrible mistakes in their lives?
What about the war in Iraq?? The important issues.

Well I agree with you except on the Darfur and Global Warming. The UN is suppose to handle the Darfur situation and well the Global warming that can wait~
