Not talking about Cheney or Clinton, referred to a reduction in the "Total Federal Debt".

Last President to reduce the "total federal debt" was a republican. Appears none of the democrats here have the courage to go look it up.

I know that President Clinton inherited a mega national debt from King George the 1st, and before he left office was the first to actually balance the budget (in decades) and have a SURPLUS going toward the national dept he inherited.

Oh and by the way, to refresh your memory, ReaGUN and his Reaganomics incurred more dept than ALL THE PREVIOUS PRESIDENTS COMBINED !

Clinton, YES I would re-elect Clinton a 1000 times over! He was a great president for the people, not just the super rich like bush. Since he already did his 8 years, Im going to have to vote for Clinton, Hillary!

Philip, boy you have unleashed the con's hate upon yourself. Don't you know that a successful Democratic Presidency is to be hated, it's ok for them. But the cons will defend bush jr as he tears apart our constitution piece by piece, while congress sits around doing nothing.

Some of the cons don't understand your question, maybe you should draw them a picture.

Clinton?

The truth is that deferred debt is nonetheless debt and deferred debt grows more costly with time.

However, that said, since the last president won a second term, I will have to say, yes !! I would re-elect Bush.

It depends. Would he be running against Gore or Kerry? Between those three, I'd have no choice but to vote for Bush again. The 'short bus' carrying the democrats wouldn't fit through White House gate.

Prob not.
He did lots of things like the war in Iraq that got in the way of his fiscal restraint goals.
The best way to get out (of debt, not of Iraq) at this point is to tax more... unfortunately.
I doubt Bush would do that.
