why don't those who are against illegal aliens go out and protest? the ACLU and all these stupid groups always make baseless accusations of racism and "rights abuses", and those who support them protest. so why cant those who are against them protest? making websites isn't enough.

the U.S. has the best invasion army on the face of the planet but not the best occupation army.
I think we should just pick up our stuff and leave. if we don't like what we see after wards we just invade again and leave again. Invasion would only take a couple days and look at the American casualties it would save. I think this war was wrong to begin with but congress din't ask me.

Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.
— The First Amendment to the U.S. Constitution

"Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion..."

You know what that means? That means you cannot control us with your religion no matter how much you want it to govern our country.

The founding fathers put that in as the FIRST Amendment and the FIRST words that make up the Bill of Rights.

It's quite possibly one of the most important bills that make up the Constitution and the makeup of our country.

It couldn't be any more American!

So get over it. Your beliefs do not govern the rest of us.

Quit being anti-American you friggin "patriots".

I have been living in a basement in San Francisco, CA for almost 3 years. My landlord says his relative are moving in to my basement and he asks me to find another place. I pay bills and rents on time every month, and I keep the place very clean. I like living in this neighborhood becaue people are nice and friendly. Can I get any indemnities since he asks me to leave? (We didn't sign any thing after the first years contract. At the beginning when I moved in, I paid the safety deposit)

I recently recieved a DUI (two actually) one for state and one for local ordinance for sleeping in my car while intoxicated. The car never moved (i have three parking tickets to show that ;-) and i had a designated driver who was still in the bar.

The prosecutor will not reduce the crime to a lesser offense (since the car had not moved and was not moving when i was pulled from it). What can i do?

The Democrats ran a candidate who had absolutely no platform and contradicted himself every other statement. John Kerry was not a viable candidate. Did they purposely throw the election in 2004 so that they wouldn't have to run against an incumbant in 2008?

Case in point:: Obama And Hillary. Both have no qualifying factors to be considered a viable nominee besides the fact that they pander to 2 "underrepresented" groups. Obama has 2 years in the Senate on his resume, yet is considered the frontrunner and Mrs. Clinton only is serving in the Senate on the coattails of her philandering spouse.America is very nieve if they actually believe either one of these pretenders can actually handle the job of President of this great nation. Please wake up and smell the coffee and nominate a real canidate with real credentials.

I am uncertain of my feelings on the war in Iraq. I also am uncertain of my feelings on Bush. These days there are so many people screaming from both sides, that I can't see or hear clearly enough the evidence to decide for myself. I think we are doing some good overseas, regardless of Bush's personal motivations for doing so.

So to rephrase, even if Bush could care less about terrorism and only wants to somehow make money off of this whole Iraq war thing, does the fact that there are a bunch of grateful of Iraqi citizens who recently had the experience of electing their new governmental leaders, not to mention the freedom their women now have to show their face in public, or any of the not so mentioned positives to the American presence in the middle east, do any of these things matter?

My problem with Mrs. Clinton is not that she wants to have universal health care - it's that she wants to make ME pay for it. If she wants to take the proceeds from her book deal, her cattle futures deal and all the donations her husband got from Tyson Foods and use THAT to pay for other people's medical bills, I have no problem with that.

Taking MY money and using it for that purpose isn't HAVING another point of view, it's IMPOSING her point of view - which fails to recognize the validity of MY point of view, which is that I'll pay my own medical bills and those of my children and nobody else's, thank you very much.

Working people frequently ask 'retired people' what they do to make
their days interesting.

Well, for example, the other day I went downtown and went into a shop. I
was only in there for about 5 minutes and when I came out there was a
cop writing out a parking ticket. I went up to him and said, "Come on,
man, how about giving a retired person a break"? He ignored me and
continued writing the ticket.

I called him a "Nazi." He glared at me and started writing another
ticket for having worn tires. So I called him a "doughnut eating
Gestapo." He finished the second ticket and put it on the windshield
with the first. Then he started writing a third ticket.

This went on for about 20 minutes. The more I abused him, the more
tickets he wrote.

Personally, I didn't care. I came downtown on the bus and the car that
he was putting the tickets on had a bumper sticker that said "Hillary in
'08."

I try to have a little fun each day now that I'm retired. It's important
to my health.

Alright honestly people, take the R's and D's off your shirts and think for yourselves. I am so tired of hearing these polarized arguments about social reform and war. You cant put all your eggs in one basket, and it is ignorant to side with just a party, or a belief system. I understand that the republicans are a bunch of religious zealots who's minds can't be changed. I understand that liberals all think they are super intelligent because they are more empathic to peoples needs. Its not going to help our government though? The problem is we are split down the middle with two options. In ecnomical terms this is an oligopily. This isnt democracy, if it were we would have more than two parties, offering more than 2 answers to the billions of problems we have in this world. So stop turning in your dummy ballots with the R or the D. Cancel your registration, and actually think about what your doing. Any other indipendence with mee on this?

Ok....You Ready? Here It Goes....

The UN has declared new rules for Iran's Nuclear program...On another note Iran captured 15 marines and sailors from a British ship because they presumably crossed into Iranians territory. Tony Blair says "Hog Wash" no such thing" but Iran is taking these British marines and sailors to court. Iran doesn't give a Rats Behind on what the UN says. Sounds like someone has issues and trying to make a statement here..HMMM? What's next? Give me your opinions or views on this and tell us why you feel this way. Thank you!
