but not with the flags of other immigrants who have been here, some for hundreds of years, how do we justify that?

One of my best friends is married to a Scottish guy who...by the way...is now illegal because he over-stayed his visa to be with her. They fly the Scottish flag in front of their home. No one has ever complained. No one who sees him in the street is yelling at him to go home. I wonder why? Oh, yeah, it's because he's White. He blends in better. He speaks the language. So that makes it ok, right? People try to say it's not a racist thing, it's not a cultural thing but if they REALLY believe that they are lying to themselves. Go to New York City. Go look at Chinatown. I'm sure you'll see a Chinese flag or two. Go look at Little Italy. Italian flag flying high for all the world to see. No problems. No complaints. No controversy.

In california. I'm 17, I had one previous ticket from about 8 months ago that I went to traffic school for. Can I request traffic school again? Also, the Highway patrol put on the ticket I'm "Hispanic" and he didn't even ask me. It says nowhere on my license, or other papers I'm hispanic. I am, in fact, half, but half white also. I don't resemble a hispanic origin, and it's nearly always unobvious, but I guess he assumed or something, is there anything I can do about that? I am legally identified as a caucasion male, I have a light tan, but my hispanic side isn't obvious at all by any means. What are my chances of fighting the ticket on grounds of profiling?

I don't remember exactly what it was called but it was a chart of many colors that gov't put out where different colors meant "danger" or "really dangerous" or "We're in deep doo-doo now".
It was going to save us see, from the evil turrists with their nucular weapons.
Most everyone quit paying attention to it about the time that plastic sheeting and duct tape sales took a nose dive.
It was bogus to begin with. What were we spossed to do when the color was at candy apple red, hide in our closets until the all-clear siren sounded?
I think one reason they quit publishing it was a combination of disinterest and it was probably bad for the airlines.
Is that chart still around?

I am an Objectivist, myself. I have found that few people have ever heard of it. Most of the people I have found that know of it are Libertarians.

I hate to sound like a conspiracy theorist, and correct me if I’m wrong, but so many diseases were cured in the first half of the last century with so much less technology than we have today.

Is there a special word for the well-rehearsed, calculated, soft-stepping, generalizing speech we hear from politicians? What does it take for politicians to speak candidly?

Ok, regardless of wether you think abortion is wrong or right, you must admit that it is rather strange that liberals support it.

Consider this. Liberals say live and let live, even for animals (look at PETA). Regardless if you think an unborn child/fetus is human or animal, you're killing something. Why are liberals ok with is?

Consider this: Liberals love standing up for the innocent that can't speak for themselves. Is there anything more innocent and unable to stand up for itself than a human embryo?

Consider this: Liberals tell us we should maximise freedom of choice. Why isn't the baby's choice considered in this? After all, its very clearly choosing to be born. And you if you think there is no choice being made, then you devalue choice in general. After all, it all comes from biological functions.

I find this, and other contradictions to be baffling. I would think that abortion would be something more attractive to conservatives. Yet it istn't. Why?

We could pull out all the troops and let the people who do not support the war go live Iraq. Then they could see first hand why we are there instead of sitting around echoeing opinions and ignoring the facts. Once they were awakened we would have a force ready to fight in place. What do you think?
