We could pull out all the troops and let the people who do not support the war go live Iraq. Then they could see first hand why we are there instead of sitting around echoeing opinions and ignoring the facts. Once they were awakened we would have a force ready to fight in place. What do you think?

I would be the first to go. I am willing to fight for freedom even the freedom of the cowards. I tried to go and regret that i didn't meet the criteria.

We do send the ones who support the war. It is an all volunteer military. Not only is it all volunteer it is hard to get in.

I think it would be swell for ANYBODY to learn why we are in Iraq and what the goal is. Being able to identify when the goal is accomplished would truly be a novel idea ... but obviously one that occurred after the invasion and occupation as the USA tries to be a dictator to the world. Oops, dictator doesn't sound like democracy now, does it!

I disagree with your idea. I recommend that we send civilians who support the war to fight instead? As true believers, they will be motivated to kill everything they perceive as a threat. Meanwhile, the troops can receive the long relaxing break they have earned.
Fox News could report the many triumphs of the Civilian Brigade that is defeating terrorism at its core. Rush Limbaugh could move his show to Baghdad and call it "Good Morning Iraq".

I think it's gonna take alot more than stating our opinions. We are gonna have to bind together as a great nation and call upon the Lord for guidance. We need to study history of war and learn from past mistakes to overcome.

i resent that remark, it has always been the American way to have two opposite sides of the matter debate it until they come up with a compromise. it is not the fault of the liberals or conservatives, it is the way America is run, and the reason that we can please so many of our citizens, on both sides of the fence. By being hostile toward the other side, and regarding their opinion as wrong is only jeopardizing the American way and lifestyle. become more civil, and listen to the other side, you are not always right, and not always wrong. To be truly successful you have to listen and explain, not attack.

I think you are one h*ll of an armchair soldier. Jim Webb does not support the war but he was a marine, his father was a marine in WWII , and his son is serving now.

Sending liberals to fight is certain death. It would take forever to teach them which end of the rifle the bullet came out of.
