I am being sued by my ex-boyfriend of 5 years for $3,000.

In February, I purchased a motorcycle (for my ex) that he voluntarily returned to me (wrecked with 3,000miles) when we broke up 2 months later.

When we signed the papers, I put the bike, $7,500 (with the VIN number, TT&L, etc.) under my name, and he put the remaining balance $2,800 (accessories, gear, etc.) on his credit card. Now, he is suing me for $3,000, the "down-payment" on the motorcycle, plus his court costs. ( there was no "down-payment") These were two separate transactions. He was not a co-buyer or a co-signer in the purchase of this bike; he now has the accessories that he purchased and I have the bike. We go to court in a month, but I think its a big waste of time! What should I expect with this case?

I asked about a toy my daughter got today on here... it doesn't act like it is advertised to so I was wondering if it was broken or if that is how they all are and yahoo deleted the question. How is that a violation of their policy when I see some pretty bad questions on here and mine was only asking about a child's toy?

FDR made him resign as Ambassador to Great Britain. I heard he was a big anti semite. Is this true?

In a criminal trial, does the bailiff actually listen to what they're saying, or does he/she just keep order in the deliberation room ? I mean what if the jury made some kind of incredibly corrupt conclusion, like if they were all white and if the defendant was black, they said something like "it wouldnt hurt to convict an innocent black man anyway", or "he LOOKS guilty" or if the judge gave them specific instructions and they refused to listen, does the bailiff step in and tell the judge that the jury is being corrupt ? or do they just trust them to not do that ?

I am a nj resident and I own a home that is appraised at $320,000. I have a mortgage of $240,000 and a judicial lien of $60,000 on the home. They are forcing a foreclosure because of the judicial lien and I want to somehow get rid of the lien. Should I file for bankruptcy. NOt sure if Chapter 7 will help because the judicial lien is a secured claim. Also, not sure if Chapter 13 will help because I will have to pay back the $60,000 and max they allow is 5 year repayment plan and so I will have to pay $1000 each month. Any way around this? Do they allow me to pay less than $60,000 if I file CHapter 13? Can I get rid of the lien in Chapter 7? ANy help is really appreciated. Thank you.

It might be a little early to start researching candidates already but then again not really! Anyway it seems to me that the top contenders for Democrats are Junior Senators Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton and for Republicans its most likely to be between Senior Senator John McCain and former New York City mayor Rudy Giuliani. Hate me all you want but because I'm a huge liberal, I'm already going to exclude McCain because the last thing I want again is another conservative president like Bush who pretty much wants to limit freedoms that conflict with his "Christian values" lol which is kind of hypocritical when you think about it knowing that he delcared war in Iraq and thousands of both Americans and innocent Iraqi civilians died due to his decisions. Opps! Sorry I'm rambling but anyway whether conservatve, liberal, moderate , 3rd Party , communist, I don't care! If you have a favorite candidate for president in 08' please tell me and let me know why you want that person. Thanks!

I am a Republican and most of the other Republicans here should be ashamed of them selves for NOT standing up for America, and demanding Bush be impeached.

Does anybody know what happens when both sides of the party withdraws a TRO placed upon each other?? Is it an issue in court? Does the judge just dissolve both, or does he/she question it? Any way to make it smooth sailing and be out of there in no time?
