To dang many, it's kind of hard to get a good count, they move a lot and most illegals hide to. As for if I care, yes I sure do, I just wish more did.

Tons and tons. I think they said the population increased 49% in this area and thats being sparce I'm sure. That was from the last census so you know it's ALOT more than that. One city just runs into the next here. This used to be farm country. We had 1 highschool, 3 grade schools and 1 Jr. High. Now we have 15 grade schools and more are in the works, 3 highschool and they're adding 2 more, and I think 5 Jr. Highs. We have a high number of Muslims, Koreans, Chinese and Mexicans. Mexicans legal and illegal outnumber any other group.

I have no idea. There are approx. 5 million people in the metropolitan area. A lot of legal immigrants settle here. It would be very difficult for any lay person to know which people are legal. Also, this area attracts a lot of international students and other visitors who come legally. They are certainly candidates for becoming illegal immigrants.
I do care about the number of illegal residents living here. There are a variety of concerns: economic, security, social. I'm concerned about the impact their presence has on our city but also about the impact it may have on them and their families. Illegal families are often vulnerable to being cheated and misused in a variety of scams from unscrupulous landlords, employers and the like.

I don't know how many, too many in my opinion. I definitely care, but what can I do about it.
I hear police on the scanner, they can't speak the same language and they don't know what to do with them. Send them to jail and no one there can understand them either.
Do all of us english speaking people have to hire spanish speaking people just to get by in this world? I think this is BS. Those that go to jail deserve it. They should be speaking English. But, it seems like more hispanics are let go, because they can't understand each other.
So, the next time I get stopped I guess I need to learn Spanish and say I no comprendo and I'll be let go instead of ending up in jail.

I'm a legal Hispanic living here for many years. I live mostly in a predominantly Hispanic neighborhood where the vast majority is legal or were born here. I would have to say about 95% of people living in my town are Hispanics. About half of them were born here and about 80% are legal. The only white people I ever saw growing up were my teachers who usually live in other towns.

Are you know going to start talking bad about legal people too.. I see your point trying to put everyone against immigrants... what ever the number is they live here and illegal people do pay taxes.. see you all have to be more inform of the things that are happening.. it really gets me mad when there is putting things that you don't even know.. see i have a really good friend who is illegal and she pays her taxes... I am legal so I pay... like you all only because you don't have papers doesn't mean you don't pay.. and if there is not that much of money is all because we are in a war.. tell the terrorist people why.. OK not the illegal people... Do you know how much they have to pay to the soldiers and the weapons... and a lot more like nurses, doctors, uniforms.. OK there goes your taxes...

I live near San Antonio, Texas. I couldn't even begin to guess about just this area alone, but it has to be in the tens of thousands and probably well over 100,000 - probably in the millions - in the entire state. They tend to blend in rather well around here. No problem with the legals, but the illegals bring their drugs and gangs to where its not even safe to drive on the freeways after dark.

If its not about racism why do you question legal immigrants? Why is that your business. I don't know how many legal or illegal live here, nor do I care. Any why do some assume you are only talking about Hispanics?

Why are you lumping illegal and legal immigrants together? Is there now something wrong with being a legal immigrant?
