Could the US maybe install some kind of foreign (neighbor) aide program to try and be proactive in this matter?

"Anyone who thought this was going to be a picnic in Afghanistan-anyone who had read any history, anyone who knew the Afghans, or had seen the terrain, anyone who had thought about the Taliban resurgence, anyone who understood what was going on across the border should have known to launch the British army in with the numbers there are, while we're still going on in Iraq is cuckoo,.....

those who think Afghanistan and Iraq are something we're going to muddle through for another couple of years and then we'll be able to go back to a period of relative calm. 'I don't see that happening. I think we're in an extremely volatile, dangerous world."

Brigadier Ed Butler publicly stated that an international presence may be required in Afghanistan for the next 20 years, but he did not specify how long the British forces would have to remain."

Does anybody believe that Illegal Immigrants are better workers than United Statesians? Because Illegals are more likely to be hired than United Statesians, are the Statesians mad cause they are fat and overfed and cannot do anything cause they do not have a good education and are out of shape? Also, why is everybody racist in this immigration section of yahoo answers? Is it because they don't know one?

I am a First Generation Mexican-American Immigrant.

Born, raised, and college educated here.

T W E N T Y adult years of HARD EARNED career experience and pay raises..

My problem is this...

Poor, less educated, inexperianced, and younger Caucasians (yes really) are hurting my career by working for less than half of my pay rate...

... and I am still half a notch below the cost of living wage for my area in Southern Cal..

Who can I call that is equal to a reverse "La Migra" but that isn't racially oriented or biased? ... The Labor Board?

I don't have a predjudice bone in my body... but this more than sux... 20 years!

id like some ideas and thoughts from you guys...ok my opinion is this...i mean i can go into detail but the jist is this:this act allows our president and his officials to draw the line on what is and is NOT considered torture, correct? so basically he has altered our constitution and freed himself and others from ever being accused of a war crime(most crimes), right? NOw im all for our safety and prevention of terrorism BUT is this just a foor-in-the-door for Bush and his officials to twist and turn laws when HE feels they need to be changed?? it scares me only because i havent seen much in the way of progress in this war...not much has changed over in the mid-east, right?(as far as their own state of progress),right? so whats the deal with changing VERY important laws and rights of people? and civilians? is it going to be OKAY to kill a prisoners wife or kids to get him to talk? and if so, what is next for the USA?? pleez enlighten me i NEED IT!! lol =0)

If Christians are truly rooted in the word, then their votes instead of violating seperation of church and state, would more likely be good for the nation and the world. Christians, when they remember what they are called for, exist to serve others, and not themselves.

For example, Christians should be for economic policies that reduce poverty, they should be for policies that increase racial and gender equality. They should be for policies that strengthen the family without scapegoating homosexuals. They should recognize as they are voting that we live in a society with many religions and differing ideas. We (I should say) should be voting for economic justice, social justice, and environmental protection.

Now, I want to make clear, that Christians CANNOT ethically and SHOULD NOT try and use their votes to turn this into a theocracy.
