I sold a car to a 'friend' in March 06, as of Aug 06 they still hadnt put it in their name or paid 4 it, it had gotten impounded so i went and filed for a duplicate title went and got the car and now they have charged me with auto theft. I got the summons the other day and the detective has the VIN number wrong in the affidavit and a few other things, the judge approved it, wouldn't that be perjury on the detectives & prosecuters part?

Some simple minded Americans believe that by banning liquids and other thing that make it an incovenience is making us safer against "The Terrorists". If they are so concerned with the terrorists, let them ban Air Transportation altogether. How can you say you are fighting a war on terror, tighten security on airports yet leave your borders unsecure? Open your eye America.

I live in a Christain community apartment building. Recently we had a man set up a resident association. He has recently retired and now the president has ONLY the people who can come to the meetings vote. Our apartment is filled with handicapped and a few elderly people that have a hard time getting down to the meeting. Is this fair? I live in America, I thought, but now I'm finding that I won't get to vote this night because I need to go to a class on computers. They had only a third of the people at the last meeting that voted against my suggestion that we have an absentee ballod.
I have lived in this building for nineteen years. When I first moved there we all got to vote for a 'house committee' by a ballod left under our door. These were three or four residents who held the key to the office that housed everyone's door keys. They would help us get into our apartments. They had no real power. It seems that power is going to these new officer's heads--what do you think?

"The measures included one that would increase the number of federal prosecutors assigned to help crack down on smugglers of illegal immigrants.

Another would encourage state and local police to enforce immigration laws more strictly. Advocates promoted this measure as necessary to overcome reluctance that local authorities often have expressed about getting involved in immigration cases lest people be discouraged from reporting crimes."

That means all they let stay in the bill that MUST be approved before they go home is the criminalization of tunnel digging.

He is not faking.
He has absolutely no recolection of the murder what-so-ever.
In fact, he doesn't even remember his own identity.

Do you convict him of murder?

When they put a ban on all liquids carried in Airplanes? How much safer did traveling become when they put a ban on them? They should just ban flying all together, it'll make us safer right, I'm amazed at how many people believe that by banning liquids on airplanes, we made them safer. I'm also amazed at how many people are willing to give up certain ways of life for a false sense of security. I guess some people can't tell the difference between tooth paste and chloride.

This is for debate.. I would really appreciate it if you could give thoughtful answers with reasons for your opinions, but if you don't have time a simple yes or no will suffice. Thanks.

Here Is a sample!!
From a school teacher - - -

"As you listen to the news about the student protests over illegal
immigration there are some things that you should be aware of:

I am in charge of the English-as-a-second-language department at a
large southern California high school which is designated a Title 1
school, meaning that its students average lower socio-economic and income levels.
Most of the schools you are hearing about - South Gate High, Bell
Gardens, Huntington Park, etc.-where these students are protesting, are also Title 1 schools.

One hundred percent of the students in this school and other Title
1 schools are on the free breakfast and free lunch program. When I
say free breakfast,
I'm not talking a glass of milk and roll -- but a full breakfast and cereal
bar with fruits and juices that would make a Marriott proud. The
waste of this food is monumental, with trays and trays of it being dumped in the trash uneaten. (OUR TAX DOLLARS AT WORK)

I estimate that well over 50% of these students are obese or at
least moderately overweight.

About 75% or more DO have cell phones.

The school also provides day care centers for the unwed teenage
pregnant girls (some as young as 13) so they can attend class without the
inconvenience of having to arrange for babysitters or having family
watch their kids. (OUR TAX DOLLARS AT WORK)

I was ordered to spend $700,000 on my department or risk losing
funding for the upcoming year even though there was little need for anything; my budget was already substantial. I ended up buying new computers for the computer learning center; half of which, one month later, have been carved with graffiti by the appreciative students who obviously feel humbled and grateful to have a free education in America. (OUR TAX DOLLARS AT WORK)

I have had to intervene several times for young and substitute
teachers whose classes consist of many illegal immigrant students here in the country less then 3 months who raised so much hell with the female
teachers, calling them "Putas" (whores) and throwing things that the teachers were in tears.

Free medical, free education, free food, day care etc., etc.,
etc. Is it any wonder they feel entitled to not only be in this country but to
demand rights, privileges and entitlements?
To my bleeding-heart friends who want to point out how much these
illegal immigrants contribute to our society because they LIKE their
gardener and housekeeper and they like to pay less for tomatoes: spend some time in the real world of illegal immigration and see the TRUE costs.

Higher insurance, Medical facilities closing, higher medical
costs, more crime, lower standards of education in our schools, overcrowding, new diseases etc., etc., etc. For me, I'll pay more for tomatoes.
We need to wake up. The Guest worker program will be a disaster
because we won't have the guts to enforce it. Does anyone in their right mind really think they will voluntarily leave and return?

There are many hardworking Hispanic/American citizens that
contribute to our country and many that I consider my true friends. We should encourage and accept those Hispanics who have done it the right and legal way.
It does, however, have everything to do with culture: A third-world
culture that does not value education, that accepts children getting
pregnant and dropping out of school by 15 and that refuses to assimilate, and an American culture that has become so weak and worried about "politically correct" that we don't have the will to do anything about it.

Hello everyone,

I am looking for a little help on a matter. My employer mistakenly over reimbursed me for moneys related to parking. From Jan to June I had pretax money withdrawn for parking on each paycheck. Every other paycheck I had an addition of reimbursable for the parking. After the end of June, the deductions stopped, but the reimburses continued. Does my employer now have a right to deduct this money from my paycheck to reclaim it?

Thank you for any help,

Chris

I'd say they're equally painful, as if you kill the child the child dies and the parents suffer, and if you kill the parent the parent dies and the child suffers. However killing the child is slightly more evil because the child has no chance of defending themselves.

I bought my son a Sagem my401x mobile phone in June this year. Within a few weeks it started to go wrong, sound was bad, buttons not working, photo quality deteriorated. We took it back to the shop asking for a replacement but were told as it was more than 30 days old it would have to be sent for repair. After waiting about a month for the shop to have a phone in stock to borrow during the repair, it was sent away. My son collected it yesterday, apparently all the inside has been replaced. Low and behold by last night it was going wrong again, buttons not working and it keeps 'freezing'. As far as I know, Sagem are no longer making the model in question and I know a lot of people who have had problems with them. Does anyone know my legal rights? Can I demand that the shop gives us a refund? I am willing to buy another one from them, just a different model, even if it is more expensive. We live in Ireland by the way.

I will tell you one of the reasons why I love this country. Everyone is welcome here. Sure their are idiot racists and sexists and all of the other ists but they represent a tiny fraction of the American people. Anyone can be an American. This is truely the greatest country on Earth.

Me and a friend are thinking of putting together a webpage for gaining information on the criminality and corruption of what was once Great Britain. Many of us now have been a victim of Crime and the police have been trapped by government legislation to protect us.
These men and women are our protectors and deserve our respect. But at the same time maybe we should stop fearing crime and fight back. A lot of crime is unreported because we fear reprisals.
By creating a webpage to describe our encounters; where, when and how, maybe we could help protect each other from the evil and find the evidence necessary to defeat them, without fear of said criminals taking revenge.
I was considering a page on myspace as most of us already have one. But any other suggestion and opinions are always welcome.

Americans give them the idea.We practically push the application forms down their throat. We say "Go ahead, apply for your legally born children".WIC offices, doctors, schools, etc. tell illegal immigrants about our social servics program. They encourage them to apply.

So,my question is "Why blame the illegal immigrant for getting benefits that our country has invited them to get?Why not blame our government?"

I asked this same question, formed a bit differently, yesterday. But no one really answered it correctly. So,I'll ask again in hopes that someone gets my point.I just would like to know why there is so much animosity with illegals getting welfare benefits when we americans give them this opportunity several times over.I blame the government, not them. What about ya'll?
