The survey does exist and was passed out to a few hundred Marines in 29 Palms, California, in 1995, but not by the Pentagon. According to an article in NEW AMERICAN magazine in October of 1995 by John F. McManus, the survey was part of an academic project on the part of a Marine Lieutenant Commander Ernest Guy Cunningham who was earning his Masters Degree from the Naval Postgraduate School in Monterey, California. The survey alarmed some of the Marines and copies soon started being circulated among gun rights supporters. Lt. Cunningham told McManus that he was a member of the National Rifle Association himself and didn't agree with the tone of the questions. He said the survey was intended to confirm and then pass on to higher authorities his fears about "the lack of knowledge among the soldiers about the U.S. Constitution, the Declaration of Independence, and their heritage as Americans."

This is just a hypothetical Question that always makes me wonder..
Let say that a family owned a guard dog (somewhere along Rottweiler, Boxer, or Dobbermann).
A thief came at night to rob the house and he carried a gun.
And he got attacked by the dog causing the death of the thief (or serious injury).

Would the law in US put the owner to prison and killed the dog?
(and in the case of the thief is injured) Is the law permits the thief to sue the owner for physical and mental anguish?

My understanding is that the law actually will euthanize the dog..
Am i wrong? It seemed a bit unfair to me...

My first question is whether or not Hezbollah instigated Israels response. Did they make the first move? That is what I am hearing and just wondered if anybody knew for sure because I do not like hearsay. The second question is if they were truly attacked by these terrorists wouldn't we all be hypocritical if we disagreed with there tactics? What did the U.S. do after we were attacked. We identified the group responsible and invaded Afghanistan, just like Israel is invading Lebanon. I for one did not disagree with the Afghanistan war as we were invading and defeating terrorists, the ones who attacked us. This is what Israel is doing. They were attacked and now they are invading the area that housed the attackers. Does anybody agree with me and feel Israel is in the right and we as a people shouldn't judge them as we did the same thing? Or am I misinformed and I do not know the whole story? Please help me and thanks in advance for the answers.

Unless that person stops using any and all products that are derived from oil based products, energy, plastics, rubber products, etc. The world depends on oil production like it or not. I agree, we shouldn't but fact is, we do depend on oil. The true crime is the fact we allowed ourselves to become so dependant. The answer to the problem we now face and hate each other over is to become able to provide for our needs without the use of foriegn produced crude oil supplies. It will only get worse folks, wait until we see the supplies available go to the last few "drops". Then, if we haven't found alternatives or alternatives are kept from us by the big oil producers, you ain't seen nothin yet! Stop blaming conservatives for the war for oil and wake up to the reality of our dependence on it. Lets work together to solve this disaster.

In my experience of the Police (WM) they seem as bad as the criminals, carrying out petty vendettas because someone has complained about one of them, using the confiscated goods store as a lucky dip, cant be bothered to turn up for a crime.

Communism is about equality. Equality in such a way that they do not want you to assume any national or ethnic identity and they will kill or put in concentration camp anyone who dares to deviate from the standard government sponsored 'communist' identity. Thou shalt not be different!
