Communism is a bad idea on pretty much every level. The fact is, people should be treated as equal to exactly the extent that they *are* equal – and no farther. All people should be equal before the law, but the law should in no way attempt to create or enforce an artificial equality. As Aristotle said, "The worst form of inequality is to make unequal things equal."
On the other hand, give the proponents of communism their due; they are motivated by a kind of utopian idealism, however misguided it may be.

Sad to say but I think you nailed it.I'm very left wing but soon realized communism goes against human nature in so many ways. And I am a humanist first.
In a way it's the perfect system but it's made for people therefor it's a wrong system. The leaders, whoever they are can never live up to the standards that in theory could lead to Utopia. It always ends like in Animal Farm.
All animals are equal but some are more equal than others.

No. Communism is bad. That's why the dems are having such a hard time right now. They're socialists and to a small degree communists. They need to get real before they ever have a chance to run this country again.

Inspired by Karl Marx's Marxism,communism,
as we know it, began shortly after the fall of Alexander Romanoff, the Czar of Russia, and the Provisional Government, after the Russian Revolution of 1917.
Named the Communist Party under Lenin, it was meant, in theory, to be an idealistic form of government to benefit the common man and,...
to insure governmental rescue,as Dictator of the proletariat, from a class society.
But like many good intentions, instead it has been used as a tool to benefit the few.
It was a lot of things, mostly gone wrong, but never, in it's inspiration, was it meant to kill or imprison. In fact, in it's general intent, that's about the last thing it meant to do.

communism was created with good intentions- that is to make everyone equal by reducing the gap between the rich class and the poor class. However, it only works on a small scale (a very small group of people). it does not work on a large scale mainly because corrupt governments always end up taking advantage of people for their own self interests.

That would be your Neocons supporting the Communist China stock market over Microsoft and Walmart shares...Out sourcing to Communist Labor is good for the Neocon pocket books...Just pull on their purse strings and see what they do. They are really Communists themselves.

Communism sucks. You try living 20 years under that ideology. It enslaves you to the state and the secret police is always monitering you. Communism puts man as nothing.

Communism is based on a fundamental ignorance of human nature. It can't work because even the 'leaders' won't behave as 'good communists'.

Communism in practice isn't about equality, it is about oppression on a mass scale.

communism in theory is not bad, but it's not been able to be truly carried out.
