With the electoral collage and so many trying to trample free speech you have to wonder... Even the Pres himself has had to tell people to leave those that want to speak alone...

When the founders of the Unitied States drafted its foundation they didn't realize so many people would end up here and they never considered that it would grow they way that it has grown. We the people still have the power through our representatives to change the process if we choose to. But most of us leave all that stuff up to the guy or girl that we voted for because they came on TV and said we could do something we want to do so we will vote for them. Truth much of the freedom that you want is being taken by people who are attacking the bill of rights. The reason: if the masses (us) can be controlled (no guns) then the government can tell us what to do and take (our) money and (our) privacy and (our) land and (our) life it they so choose. You can say what ever you want right now but once people are no longer able to defend themselves. You will loose that right.

Well first you have to consider that when it was written it was written for white male land owners.
But I say we still have a government by the people, for the people and of the people. But when the people get lazy and choose not to participate then they lose control of things.
Far to many people pay no attention to things and get their 'news' from Jon Stewart or MTV. Personally I think their should be more involved to get the right to vote then simply breathing (and the Democrats have a number of dead voters as well).

Amazing what 40 years a Democrats running the Congress....now the conservatives have got to get it straightened out....and 40 years of screwing things up will take at least 30 year to correct.....at least the president understands the meaning of free speech....when will the Libs?

It is difficult for the system to work if the people are ignorant of how it works to their advantage. Many have forgotten the power to vote, petition and how important it is to get the right people in office. Town meetings, and assemblies don't even happen much. Its as if the people are giving up their own freedoms freely and ignorantly.

I felt that my voice and my vote counted. The media wishes to become the new voice, the spewers of hatred, and the controller of the masses. They are doing a pretty good job with their lies, spin, and innuendo.
I just look past them. No one has ever controlled me or my mind and they never will. I seek only the truth. I've no time for BS. Life is too short.
