In my experience of the Police (WM) they seem as bad as the criminals, carrying out petty vendettas because someone has complained about one of them, using the confiscated goods store as a lucky dip, cant be bothered to turn up for a crime.

No, not ALL police are as bad as the criminals. Admittedly there are he odd bad apple, but which organisation does not?
When a bad one is found, they are dealt with and harsh punishment follows.
For the majority, they patrol the streets unarmed and will put their life on the line to protect you. There are so many criminals running around with guns and knives and other weapons, and our unarmed bobby will try their best to arrest the criminal. The paperwork is time consuming and complicated, and it wont be changed, because being public servants the rules and regulations come from the government. So it's impossible for the policeman or police woman to change the paperwork them selves.
The police are the authority governed by strict rules, if you want to be disrespectful of our British bobby, then I expect you mouth off at your parents, teachers, and any authority figure.
this country could be so nice to live in if it weren't for those people who wilfully vandalise, mug, burgle, murder well you get the picture. If the public started taking a bit of interest in their local area, showed support for he police then much of the street crime could stop

I'm speaking of British police here. I have intimated before that many of them are virtually thieves by picking up their wages. They do not give any confidence to the public or provide protection for the public. They complain about being understaffed, having too much paperwork etc but do not have the guts to change the situation. Like all public servants that relatively fat pension they get is the be all and the end all.

Just as with civilians there are good and bad people and good and bad policemen, you should not tar every policeman as being bad/bent/corrupt cos many are not & only do what they do because they want to help people.
Can you really say a special victims officer is such a bad person when all they are trying to do is protect innocent children, no decent person could see these officers as bad.
Yes theres big problems in the worlds police forces but that does not mean all officers should be tarred with the same brush

My opinion is that definitely everyone, and that i advise definitely everyone seems to be held accountible for his or her movements. besides the actuality that there is likewise people who of direction criminals who ***** that an officer had used severe stress and had to sue the dep.. interior the technique its on no account the officers fault greater or much less the criminal attempting to get a speedy greenback, and alittle revenge against the dep.. No officer decrease than any situations could on no account punch, kick, or attack an suspect or an harmless guy or woman, it may consequence in getting fired and probable time in penitentiary. inner Affairs will start to check out the dep., the police get a bad acceptance, keep in mind no branch likes to have a bad apple. to no longer point out that maximum information exhibits will in basic terms play a million/2 of the video wherein to make the officer and the dep. look undesirable, as a result removing an solid officer and permitting undesirable ones to fill the hollow. no longer asserting that one and all officers are undesirable, yet a number of them that do unlawful crimes and are seen hated by the dep. that they artwork for, or at leased used to artwork for lol i desire this facilitates =)

No they are not.Abuse of their powers should be severely punished but we should also realize they have a very hard job. They spent a big amount of their time talking to individuals who lie. It's normal to get edgy if the majority of people you deal with every day are criminals.
Psychological this must be very hard.
And that's without mentioning the constant danger of violence and the responsibility to protect civilians. It's a very very hard job and we should respect any police officer who does his job well. But also be very hard on those who misuse their power cos the police is an essential part of democracy and every abuse will weaken society

Depends on where you are. I am in a Chicago suburb and the police here have really cleaned up the city in the last few years, and very friendly.

However, if you are a criminal, of course they are not going to be nice to you.

No. I had a very well mannered officer write up a report for someone hitting my auto (hit and run). He said normally we don't write up a report after 2 days; but he did anyway. I thought that was very nice of him even though I waited too long to report it. He had a very nice demeanor about him and was very polite.

Most - But not all... Absolute power corrupts absolutely...

They see it as a job - not as a career! They should get weeded out at an early stage..

Yes they are all bad - that's why they're called Pigs, the Filth, etc, etc.
I think they are a bunch of w@nkers who waste public money and half of them are taking back-handers.
If I had my way I'd shoot them all and stop all their non-contributary pensions.
