"Lebanon Prime Minister Siniora says 300 people have been killed in Israeli attacks; appeals for immediate cease-fire, according to media reports."

The Lebonese Prime Minister is making a big deal of 300 Civilians dieing from Israeli Attacks, that would be a slow week in Iraq, where more than 300 civilians have died since Israel Invaded Lebanon, an Bush says that's a sign of "Success".

The Iraqi Prime Minister declared that he was going to commit 75,000 Iraqi Security Forces to "Secure' Baghdad and end the Violence there, that was more than a Month ago and more than 3500 lives agom another Iraqi Success Story....maybe the problem in Iraq is that Bush's "Good Guys", his puppet Shia Government, are also the Bad Guys, more closley allied to Iran than to the U.S..

Continued conflict in Iraq benefits the Shiite Radicals around the World and damages the U.S., in the mean time the Iraqi Politicians grow more wealthy every day.

Like I, and many others have said for 4 years now, Bush's Invasion of Iraq has only increased the Power of the Muslim Radicals, Al Qaeda included. Look how the Radicals have "pulled the strings" of both Bush and Israel, by kidnapping 2 Israeli Soldiers, something Israel has done to Palestinians and Hezbellah for decades, they involved both Isareal and the U.S. in an escalation of what most Muslims now view as a Religious War to exterminate the practice of Islam from the World, which means nothing but more Recruits to the Radicals cause.

As things excalate it will not be too long before Bush's Buddies in Saudi Arabia and Egypt face attacks and rebellions in their own country....then there's India vs. Pakistan, Indonesia, the Phillipines...Bush Failures are very far reaching

I saw a poster today that was of Uncle Sam, you know, the one that wants you to join the army - and my son asked me what was Uncle Sam's last name. I never thought about it. Anybody know ?

Three women – one German, one Japanese and a pretty Southern Belle – were sitting naked in the sauna of a luxury hotel. The German and the Japanese women were ignoring the Southern Belle, obviously jealous of her beauty and conscious of their own frumpiness. Suddenly there was a beeping sound. The stocky German woman pressed here forearm and the beeping stopped. The Southern Belle looked at her questioningly so the German woman said to her smugly, “That was my pager. I have a microchip under the skin of my arm.”

A few minutes later, a phone rang. The haughty Japanese woman lifted her palm to her ear. When she finished her call, she looked at the Southern Belle and pompously explained, “That was my cell phone. I have a microchip in my hand.”

At that, the Southern Belle stepped out of the sauna and went to the bathroom. When she returned, she had a piece of toilet paper trailing from her behind. “Will you look at that,” she said mockingly. “I’m getting a FAX!”

Right now, the telephone and cable companies in control of Internet access are trying to use their enormous political muscle to dramatically change the Internet. It might be hard to believe, but lawmakers in Washington are seriously debating whether consumers should be free to use the Internet as they want in the future.
The phone and cable companies now control more than 95% of all Internet access. These large corporations are spending millions of dollars to promote legislation that would divide the Internet into a two-tiered system.
The top tier would be a "Pay-to-Play" high-speed toll-road restricted to only the largest companies that can afford to pay high fees for preferential access to the Net.
The bottom tier -- the slow lane -- would be what is left for everyone else. If the fast lane is the information "super-highway," the slow lane will operate more like a dirt road.

I am an old political science graduate with an emphasis on international relations. I can see no benefit that the U.S. receives by supporting Israel. There is no logical reason to dump such a disproportionate sum of money and time into that country. What I am saying here is that it just isn't worth the investment. For the sake of our own national defense, we must dump Israel and dump them now.

I dont get this. The current administration is attempting to make an amendment to the Constitution of the United States that will ban gay marriage. I THOUGHT the Constitution was supposed to PROTECT freedoms, not LIMIT them. Are there any other amendments that limit freedoms?
I cannot, for the life of me, think of one secular reason why gays shouldnt be allowed to marry. Lets all remember now - our Forefathers designed our government to have a separation of church and state...so, tosssing out any preconvieved notions of what your religion says about gay marriage - can you provide any other reasons to outlaw it?
I love the excuse that the "sanctity of marriage" needs to be protected... The original anti-gay marriage bill was penned by a Christian who was FOUR TIMES divorced.....yup, marriage is DEFINITLY sanctimonious in his case....

So, why not allow them the same freedoms that you and I have?? Please, intelligent responses only - no homophobes please...

And if you say that they can afford it, you're an idiot.

Wouldn't it be FAIR if everyone paid 20% of their income in taxes. Someone who made a million dollars would still pay a hell of a lot more than someone like me who only makes about 40K!

John Kerry was scheduled to visit the Catholic National Cathedral outside Washington as part of his campaign. Kerry's campaign manager made a visit to the cardinal and said to him, "We've been getting a lot of bad publicity among Catholics because of Kerry's position on abortion and the like. We'd gladly make a contribution to the church of $100,000 if during your sermon you'd say John Kerry is a saint."

The Cardinal thinks it over for a few moments and finally says, "The Church is in desperate need of funds and I will agree to do it."

Kerry pompously shows up looking especially smug that day, and as the Mass progresses the Cardinal begins his homily.

"John Kerry is a petty, self-absorbed hypocrite and a nitwit. He is a liar, a cheat, and a low intelligence weasel. He wrote a book and portrayed himself in the best light when he was a traitor to his fellow servicemen. He has lied about his military record and had the gall to put himself in for a medal. He married for money and is using it to lie to the American people. He is the worst example of a Catholic I've ever personally known. But compared to Ted Kennedy, John Kerry is a saint.

Dear Insurgents, Please keep this in mind. If you keep killing our fine young men and women we will cut and run just like we did in Vietnam. Already the American people are against the war and want our troops home. We know the war is not worth it. ( Note:..60% of Americans are against the war) We are amazed at how you can hurt the American military day in and day out. We are so powerful and yet you are so weak but you are kicking the USA all over the place. I respect that. ( So do many Americans here ) So if you want to win just keep up the pressure and the USA militay will turn tale and run and later we can all forgive each other and then get along. ( Look at Vietnam....We trade with them now and they kicked our butts all over Vietnam. They killed 58,000 of our men and we forgave them.) So don't worry insurgents. We will become friends someday. I hope to be the first to say hello and shake your hands.

i don't support hezbollah, or terrorism of any kind, but don't u think isreal has gone too far and inflamed the middle east by bombing innocents. most of lebanon is not pro hezbollah. why are we so pro isreal, they are not perfect, and personally, i think isreal is merely our watch dog in the middle east, and we need to stop supporting countries for our own personal gain. doesn't this affim 1/3 of the worlds belief that we are selfish power hungry tyrants. personally, i think we need a mediator.
