Right now, the telephone and cable companies in control of Internet access are trying to use their enormous political muscle to dramatically change the Internet. It might be hard to believe, but lawmakers in Washington are seriously debating whether consumers should be free to use the Internet as they want in the future.
The phone and cable companies now control more than 95% of all Internet access. These large corporations are spending millions of dollars to promote legislation that would divide the Internet into a two-tiered system.
The top tier would be a "Pay-to-Play" high-speed toll-road restricted to only the largest companies that can afford to pay high fees for preferential access to the Net.
The bottom tier -- the slow lane -- would be what is left for everyone else. If the fast lane is the information "super-highway," the slow lane will operate more like a dirt road.

The government will soon try to control all content on the internet. There is to much good honest information on the net and citizens are finding out what their government is all about.

The main stream media, CBS, NBC, ABC, and CNN do the government bidding. They have brainwashed the Dan Rathers of the world.

They are also trying to control some talk radio.

If every one knew the truth there would be a revolution yet tonight. And we need one.

The ISP's own the Internet access. They lease facilities to access the backbone. Some of the cable companies and some of the phone companies own the backbone, for which the Internet traffic uses along with all the telephone calls, data transmissions, etc...etc....etc......
Just like a highway, when you have too much traffic things get bogged down. One of the way highways keep thing moving is by not letting trucks in the left lane. The faster cars are free to zip on down the highway. ISP's want to keep putting more and more traffic on this backbone. Those that have to maintain and grow this backbone are spending millions to keep up. All they are asking for is the ability to recoup their costs. And it is enormous. So some of the extreme profits that the ISP's are enjoying will need to go towards helping maintain this backbone that is the crux of their business. What this means to you, is that the ISP's are going to probably have to regulate how they serve their customers. They may do it with a price increase (because they really do enjoy high profit margins), or some other process. If the backbone is not maintained or grown because it is a loss, you will not be moving anywhere. There has been no decision made, this was thrown back to the FCC for further study. Let's see what falls out.

This vote wasn't about freedom of speech, it became about the obnoxiousness of screeching. it is authentic that it is no longer achievable to legislate courtesy, and this regulation would not attempt to finish that, yet particularly has to sidestep the rude human beings from annoying absolutely everyone on their cellular phone by making airplanes cellular phone loose, meaning well mannered thoughtful those who don't worry others do not get to apply their phones both. it is too undesirable that rude, thoughtless human beings spoil issues for each human being.

Is there a question here? If you want to post a question, this is the place. But if you want to complain, put it on a blog or email, or toilet paper perhaps.
