The state this country is in isn't totally because of any president at any time. It is a fact that this country (as well as others) are going downhill, but it is because of "We the People," not because of one person whose powers are limited "By the People" and "For the People." Bush cannot keep this country from going down -- only we can! We'll figure it out.

Look around.. it is. Inflation just went up in June, housing foreclosures are up 76% from this time last year. Gas prices are going up, jobs are harder to find. Look at all the automotive plants that are shutting down. Large companies laying off thousands of workers. There are more homeless people then ever before. Look at New Orleans, it's still a mess. Bush could care less about what's going on here or the people.

Because he is no better or worse than any of his predacessors from a technical and logistical standpoint. I, personally however, feel that morally and ethically he stands head and shoulders over many before him...not all..but many.
For all the naysayers and know-it-alls..we are living in times and with situations that are rivaled by none before it. Every day is a brave new world...and for anyone to presume that they could do it better or know someone that could is absurd.
There are people who ask how President Bush can sleep at night. I'd like to know the answer to that as well. I can't even imagine or conceive of trying to sleep at night with the weight of the entire world on your shoulders. I toss and turn at night over a skipped payment or a speeding ticket. Can you fathom trying to sleep knowing the next morning you are going to be discussing, as a general topic of the day, the proliferation of WMD in North Korea and the Middle East?! I think he's doing a decent job and I think he...like all before him and after him from whatever party, should be supported and assisted in his (their) efforts. Not bashed, bullied and ridiculed.

Because it's not. This country is actually doing something about terrorists and oppressive countries. Unlike the (Me) Presidency of Clinton, who embarrassed our country and our Military by doing nothing but sit in his little house with Whitewater, travelgate, Savings and loans, Placing our troops under forgein commanders, and Committing perjury. During Clinton, Terrorists attacks quadrupled. What did he do? He cut our Intelligence communitties budgets to the bones. He did nothing about the USS Cole. He did nothing about 2 US embassies being bombed in Africa. He did nothing about the Terrorists that bombed the World Trade Center. He watched as other world powers violated "The oil for Food Program". He left our troops high and dry in Somalia. He gave an office in the West wing to his wife. (the only President to do so). He did nothing about Bosnia. Millions died in ethnic cleansing. the list goes on and on. Why People have such a short memory is amazing.

because he's not the only one that runs things-- there is congress and the whole bureacracy in DC. Plus, the others in his cabinet probably wouldn't let him ruin it too much.
No, hell hole is all relative. There are alot of problems he's done nothing about. His presidency and legacy will be Iraq and Afghanistan with a pretty poor record on both. He's done next to nothing domestically --cutting taxes is good but also relatively knee-jerk easy thing to do.

Just wait another decade or two when there are nothing but service jobs left and families are living under bridges.
Btw, Hell hole can be defined in many different ways. I'd say when christians are taken over by a false christian war monger.. that is hell on earth.

Well the fact that life is good in the USA seems to slip the media's memory. Most fools don't know enough about America to fill a thimble. Before you talk about a country go there and see for yourself.

Because the president is just a figurehead, a symbol, a puppet. Real decisions are made by a small groupe of king makers; those who own and control everything
