I'm getting a gerbil today. Is there any tips, info, something you can give me about gerbils. I am getting one at PetCo, yesterday I looked and there were tons. I just want to know how to pick out a good one, how long they live, stuff like that. Thanks!

We have a mouse in our house that keeps removing peanut butter from a set trap without setting it off. The trap is extremely sensitive and has worked in the past!

I have read that rabbits will grunt when angry or frightened, but my rabbit doesn't do this. Instead, he will grunt when nobody is petting him, or he's not getting any attention. He'll lay on the ground and grunt, but as soon as someone comes over to pet him, he stops, like he was doing it just to get our attention. Has anyone ever heard of a rabbit doing this?

Everyday you hear of some unbelievable cruelty done to a being that cannot defend itself. It is purely innocent and is then entrusted to a person who neglects or physically abuses it. I don't understand how someone could be given that responisiblity and not care. I wondered if you could help me with this one.

I just got a hairless baby rat under a month ago. He will sometimes run around his cage like an idiot but doesn't really seem to do rat stuff...like chewing on things or exploring. All I have in the cage right now is a plastic cup that he likes to lay in (a lot, he's pretty much in the cup anytime I look in the cage day or night), a little wooden block, and a mouse tunnel (which he is about to outgrow anyway), then of coarse things he needs to survive.

When I get him out of his cage he just sits on my shoulder and doesn't try to look around (from what I have read rats should want to explore). So, is there something wrong with him or is this just something young rats do?

I have 2 rats and i recently added on to it so that they would have more room ro run around and play. I need to fill up 3 levels of toys or something. Do any of you have ideas of things you can make or cheap things to buy so that all three levels can have fun stuff for them to play in?

Animals need protection, for they can not protect themselves from certain actions and from distinction. But where is the line drawn at. Humans are they more valuable than a animal?Just your opinion for I love animals, have pets, and respect mother nature.I just trying to ask a question ,think of a question and was wondering what the response would be.

I was given a pet hedgehog about 14 months ago. I got him because he bit the last owner, hasen't bitten me though. Probably because I pay attention to him. Just like to know what the life expectancy is.
