Be very very careful of household sprays...I had a tank full of fish that were killed by my roommate spraying the house without covering the tank completely. Use fly strips that hang or traps. Good luck.

I prefer to swat them by swinging a cat about by the tail . Not only does it dispose of the flies, but also reduces fish and guinea pig mortality!

Try a "sticky trap" something like fly paper. That won't mess with your fish or your guinea pig. They make all kinds, so you'll have to pick the best one for your situation. Best of luck to you.......

i got this out of a home book and it really works. get some net hose and put cat nip and bassel in it hang it up over a door panel or something flies dont like the scent and will stay away

either a fly swatter, or one of those really sticky things that u hang on the wall, it has a scent that flies like, then when they fly to it they get stuck there and die.
