Everyday you hear of some unbelievable cruelty done to a being that cannot defend itself. It is purely innocent and is then entrusted to a person who neglects or physically abuses it. I don't understand how someone could be given that responisiblity and not care. I wondered if you could help me with this one.

I agree but unfortunately its often the so called animals lovers that are guilty of neglect, if not abuse.
I get fed up of talking to cat owners who think that just because their cat lives indoors it doesn't need vaccinating or worming. I also get fed up listening to people who are trying to avoid vets bills when they know so little about healthcare and first aid that they shouldn't be in charge of a housebrick.
Its not just sadists and those who are deliberately cruel that cause the problems. There is also long term neglect which means that an animal is condemned to live at a below average standard of health, or in pain. Imagine living with toothache, earache and stomach ache for years on end.
I'd like to see basic animal care taught in schools. Most young kids are interested in animals and don't need much encouragement to think about life from their point of view.

Some people are just so sick in the mind for some reason, and it seems to be getting worse compared to 20 or 30 years ago for some unknown reason. I personally believe that people who are cruel to children and animals deserve the same treatment done to them as they have inflicted on others, then hung. It seems your punishment is more these days for parking on a double yellow line or not paying for a parking ticket etc, than it is for cruelty to animals or children. The government needs to re-address these issues very soon. I read today in the papers yet another story about horriffic cruelty to an animal. It makes me so angry and upset. I don't think these people need help, I think they need capital punishment.

reason they're psychological and choose help. at the same time as little ones are abused they lash out, and something or absolutely everyone who receives of their way receives their abuse. it is a round aspect yet can quite get out of hand and that they had choose a psychiatrist. We already comprehend that when someone abuses animals that they are going to strengthen as a lot as abuse human beings or maybe to the point of killing human beings. do merely not get entangled, don't be round them.

Don't leave your children or your pets with people you don't know really well...

I never left mine anywhere except their schools and nurseries... and even then, one broke her arm at school and was sent on a bus to the hospital... not one teacher got a car out to drive her there!

I, as a parent, would likely have been charged with abuse, had it happened in my home!

As a parent, the responsibility is yours, if you entrust them to someone who hurts them!

Nine months of pregnancy should make us want to be the prime carer until they can stand alone at sixteen!

Some people are simply mean...I think it's some sort of pscyhological problem where the person projects their bad feelings towards others onto innocent creatures. Maybe even a self-esteem issue...the person is unable to control people and that bothers them so they control anything they can get their hands on.

In short, there isn't anything to really understand..that sort of person just needs help.

There is a thin line between humans and animals, I guess these sort of people are the ones who belong to the other side

Some people don't take life seriously and seek out a thrill or are lazy at the expense of others.

I agree with Paul633UK. Man has been obsessed with conquest of some degree for ages. Whatever we can't control or understand, we destroy. Let's just live and let live, and try to take care of each other.

most of these people don't realize that what they really are doing is releasing anger, tension, and agression that can from somewhere else. but some people are just cruel cause they get a kick out of it. that's where you know they have some mental problems.
