I have an 11 week old German Shepherd pup. The longest he is ever left in the crate is 3-4 hours. He is pretty good at holding, sleeps through the night. I work 8 hours now and then. Is it okay to leave him in the crate that long every once in a while...I usually ask the neighbour or family to come feed him his luch and let him out....but when these resources are not available?

does any body know anything about malaysian cats? i have 1 & dont know much about the breed. he is white with blue eyes & really fluffy! he gets bad knots in his hair close to the skin. i have tried cutting most of them out then giving him a bath. infact i did that tonight! it seemed to make them worse & most of the knots are on his stomach & chest. he really doesnt like his stomach or chest touched so it is hard to get them out + them being close to the skin makes it worse! any ideas on how to get them out?

i bought an iguana on wednesday(1-09-07) and i bought everything i needed... this morning i let it take a nice bath so he can get some moister and refreshment. once it was done. i let him try off and then put it back in its tank. about 20mins later i went to check if it had ate its food and i noticed that it had this mites running around its back.now i have to take it to the vet. but my question is how in the world to iguanas get mites

My Cat Baby just had 6 Kittens. 3 look exactly like her. Grey Tiger With medium hair. Perfectly semitrical and so adorable. Then the other 3 are all black with white on thier tummy's. My boyfriends dog is scheduled to get put down tommorow and meanwhile he keeps getting worse now he seems to be bleeding from i guess his rectum, we are taking him first thing in the morning but what i want to know is could there be any danger to us or worse to my baby like maybe he has some kind of disese like samonilla or something, please this may sound stupid or funny but it freaks me out to have this animal peeing and bleeding all over the house!

My cat Baby just had a litter of 6 kittens. One of them has one eyes open and has since yesturday. Is this normal? How long does it take for a kitten to open it's eyes? How long does it take for them to walk around? How long til I can tell the sex of the kittens... and how can I tell? They are the cutest things and I just want whats best for them. Is it OK to use windex to clean the outside of the fishtank as long as I'm careful not to get any of the cleaner actually in the water? Also (throwing another quetion in here so I don't have to spend another 5 points, hope thats, er, legal) it seems, from what I've read here, that rocks/gravel is preferable to sand in a tank and I'm thinking about switching since I currently have sand. What's the best way to clean the gravel without actually removing it from the tank? That seems like an incredible hassle...

my dog mikey loves to turn around at least 10 times and then flop down like the world is spinning before him and roll over and then go to sleep. and he knows how to jump rope and it is really cute beacuse he is so big (a rotttie). It is the absolute cutest thing when my cat is on catnip. it is sooooooo funny!! and my horse (missy) loves to just run around and around with her toung just flopping out of her mouth. i love to watch them!!

I have a new Aussie Cattle Dog puppy. He's about 4 months old and very smart, but the one thing he can't seem to remember is not to jump up on people. I currently correct him by saying "down" in a firm voice and pushing him down. Problem is that he jumps right back up. He seems to think it's a game.

My horse, that i lease at my barn that i've been at for a few years, the paddocks are in seriously bad condition.
The paddock is complete mud, somtimes up the their knees, if the rain recently was bad enough. The other paddocks have have huge loads of woodchips thrown in there, and htats worked very VERY well. But, the position of my horses paddock makes i impossible for these people to dump to woodchips in the paddock (ie. can't get through gate, and can't even get truck near gate.)
I wanted to know if there was a way i coul help this paddock, maybe clean it up a bit, dry it out, or at least drain out the excess water.
I was going to shovel drainage ditches in the side of the paddock, for the water to drain, but, in the area that its the worst, is right above a hill where the ring is, and i don't want the wanter to go from the paddock, and then drain into the ring. Anyone have any solutions i could do? (Not my barn, i'm just going to voluenter time to fix it up.)

my mom got a very high strung, hyper male jack russle for x-mas and decided he needed a play mate so she went and got a female. the day after she brought the female home, it got sick. the vet said it has parvo. 3 or 4 days later, the male, the healthy one got sick too and now he is very lathargic and cant even move! the vet has been giving him IV fluids 2 times a day with antibiotics and lactos ringers in it and he still isnt doing very well. he has an abcest on his mouth and hasnt been able to keep any food or water down for 6 or 7 days. is there anything else we can do for him? are we being cruel by trying to keep him alive? HELP PLEASE! my mom just lost a 12 year old dog to diabetis and i dont think she can handle another loss so soon and she doesnt want to just give up on the puppy but she doesnt want to make him suffer either!

My dog pulled a muscle chasing a tennis ball a day and a half ago. She is still hurting, which is evident by the way she lifts her paw and has difficulty sitting. Is it safe to give her half an Aleve? My friend said she would heal on her own, but should I take her to a vet tommorow if she is still limping? Help, I can't stand seeing her in pain.
