My Maine Coon has gotten into my bread and eaten it since he was a kitten! I try to hide it and he finds it and tears the bag open and eats it! I finally purchased a bread box and put it up in a high place where he can't get it. I contacted the woman I got him from and she told me that his father does this too! Do all maine coons do this?

I read a story about a Native American who was tortured by having the soles of his feet burned by a fire till they blistered. He escaped and some wolves came up later that night and started licking his feet. They kept coming back every night for several days and licked his feet. After a few days, his feet healed. Can a dog/wolf licking your feet heal them?

.. ok let me start from the beginning. My dad brought home this 4 week old puppy from a ranch and he had fleas.. So the first thing I did was take him a shower.. I used dog shampoo and it looked like most of the fleas died.. Of course I used warm water and rinsed him for a nice little while.. I want to use Frontline on him but Im not sure if that's a good idea right now because he's so young.. do you guys have any suggestions regarding fleas?. ..Also, when my dad brought him home he said 'just feed him regular dog food, that's what they fed him over there' but I immediatly went to the store and bought him puppy food. Do you guys recommend that I feed him milk?? He loves the puppy food and eats it like nothing... I truely appriciate any feedback, suggestions, recommendations you guys might have for me.. thanks!

p.s. He is not my first dog but definitely my first puppy!

what color of light do I need and for how long should I keep it on? starting from the morning I just have one simple aglorex light not so bowerfull .
also can I feed my discus frozen brine shrimp and micess sold for marine or salt water fish ? if my discus female is not round kind of skiny from down also has black eye where dose this black eye come from? not big or ingered or desise . I also notice its clear yellow when sleeping also its been eating soo good since I bought it 3 days ago from a frined last question , where can I get methlen blue and when should I use it ?.

I know this is for heartworms and a vet told me I could use it but she didn't tell me the dosage. Does anyone out there know anything about this? I do know that Ivermectin is the active ingredient for both this stuff and regular heartworm pills for large dogs.

My dog is making a deep coughing sound like when he drinks water. Kinda like gagging. Or just other ocassions. He is half rat terrier and Jack Russel. Does anybody know what this might be? Some person told me it might be heart worms.

it's dry because the water doesn't reach it, but when it get's wet you can't see it until it's completly dry. It's like white rust on glass, how do I get rid of it?

I have had the fish for about two weeks, and she shows no signs of illness or anything wrong, but I noticed some bubbles floating on the surface of the tank and wondered if they were harmful. They are perfectly round and small and seem to collect in a group along one edge of the fishbowl. Is there something I am doing wrong, or is this normal. Thanks!

I had a doberman here last night that I was going to adopt. She did very well at first with my other dog and my son. Then a couple hours later she totally freaked out and attacked my dog. She wouldn't let him go. He rolled over for her and tried running away but she clamped her jaw on his throat and just would not let go. We tried pulling her off but nothing worked. We had to finally hit her in the snout to make her drop him. My dog outweighed her by 30 lbs. but still couldn't free himself. Do they have lock jaw that doesn't allow them to release or what?

I spent ages selecting a transport company to deliver my horse to the Costa Del Sol. Viewed the stables and they were perfect, however my horse arrived 6 days late having been to Benidorm , Portugal and Barcelona before being dropped off near Torremolinos. I was assured that the box had air con and not to rug her up. On arrival she was soaking wet from the skin out and took 5 days to dry out Apparantly the origional company had sub contracted another company and so on. Any experiences, advice etc would be greatly appreciated as I am adding a page to my web site to help Brits locate easily to Spain and obviously their animals also

Within the past two days, my dog has developed a red raised rash in his stomach. I called the vet but they can't see him until Thurs (they are closed on Weds). The vet didn't seem too worried and it does not appear to be irritating him that much.

He is not constantly scratching or biting at the rash but I can tell it bothers him. He has taken to laying on a soft blanket instead of the carpet.

I cleaned my carpets and wonder if it is an allergic reaction to the chemicals used.....or perhaps our grass/fertilizer out back. He is a house dog who only goes out to 'take care of business' and has had his flea/tick drops this month.

Are there any topical ointments that are safe to use on dogs until the vet can see him? I thought about a hydrocortisone cream but am not sure if it is safe to use on dogs.

Also - on the off chance that it is mange, what is the incubation period as we adopted him three weeks ago but the rash just started on Sunday.
