seems such as you have a sparkling tank. (youthful than 6 - 8 weeks). if so, then your tank is experiencing a micro organism top. the fairway may be accounted for via micro organism or algae. And the "white stuff" feels like Columnaris, a kind of fungus that could truthfully kill your fish. i might in the present day do a 50% water exchange, and p.c.. up some fungus remover as quickly as you are able to. improve the temp of your tank to approximately 80 tiers. (No bigger!) And do on a daily basis water adjustments 15 - 25%, another day. or as directed via the fungal therapy you get. improve the aeration as warmth and chemical ingredients shrink the quantity of Oxygen interior the tank. Do what you are able to to freshen up the tank as quickly as you are able to. no count if it fairly is Cotton Fungus (Columnaris) then your fishes might purely have a pair days left. desire this helps. i'm hoping your fish recuperate.

It's just residue from the water...minerals(usually calcium) or fish wastes that stay there when the water dries. Much like if you have salt water and allow it to evaporate, you'll have salt left. If you have a salt water tank, then there's your answer. Freshwater will contain minerals, among other things that are water solvent...some good scrubbing should take it off...although sometimes that stuff is very persistent.

It is the substances that remain after water has evaporated. I use a green kitchen scrubby to get rid of mine. Make sure that the scrubby has been well rinsed before use, so that kitchen chemicals do not get in the tank water.
