"A police source said yesterday: “It was not a case of the McCann´s friends simply going over their statements. There was a reason why they were present in the station at the same time as Murat."

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/main.jhtml?xml=/news/2007/07/11/nmurat211.xml

In the news report it implies it was for identification purposes, which sounds a bit strange seeing as how murats picture has been everywhere. I personally wonder if they think there is a connection between Murat and these friends. The police obviously feel these friends hold the key or else they wouldnt have gone to all the effort of having them fly in from England.

The plot thickens ...........

Decent people hate war and killing. But it makes them short-sited. The U.S. will be forced out of Iraq by it's own people. And right when they are starting to have a measure of success.
Then the prophecy in Ez 38:5 will take place. The alliance of the Medes and Persians. The Shia in Iraq and Iran. And then we better start watching our Asses! Because they will ally with Ethiopia and Libya, and cut off the trade route via the Suez Canal. Which will disrupt the Worlds economy and start World War III!

The news keeps reporting polls taken of the American People about how they feel the war is going, and most politicians are claiming that we should either continue it or stop it based largely on these polls.

My question is, do the American people really know what is going on over there and can we decide how it's going based on our knowlegde?

From my perspective, the news agencies report deaths and acts of terrorism and resistance, but what about everything else that is happening? I have seen many things that are not reported by the major news agencies because I watch the History Channel, etc., or surf the net and happen upon things, but I never see anything but death and terror on the news. If all we the people mostly see is what the news gives us, isn't our view going to be distorted, no matter how we feel, because the news is deciding what to show? Do people really believe the only thing important that's happening there is just what's seen in the news?

2004: 73% of the American people were for the war. Fast forward to 2007: Only 27% are now for the war. Why the change?

The recent events are sad but the Councils responsibility via help from the Government is to repair the damaged infastructure only. When household Insurance costs only the price of a couple of Pints or a packet of fags per week.It is an irresponsible act to be without Insurance. Are the Taxpayers also responsible for the repairs to an uninsured motorist car when in an accident.Their is a case here to question the responsibility of Yorkshire Water with all the obcene profits recorded.

If a person has a criminal record, what are the chances of getting a visa from the uk for a us holiday? This person was in prison for 8 monhs after a car accident. Thank you

I have been told that the person probably won't get a visa from the US simply becaus they have a criminal record. Is this the case or does it depend on the actual reason for the prison sentence? I'm so worried!

Sorry to post this in Current events, but I really need advise.

In the UK today 4 failed suicide bombers whose guilt is unquestionable & who would have potentially killed & maimed hundreds if their bombs exploded were sentenced to a minimum of 40 years each in a UK prison. We're also due to have a similar trial in the future for those who failed with the latest attacks using gas/nail devices in cars.

1. Is it right that the UK taxpayer will now PAY approx. £42K for EACH failed bomber's stay in jail EACH year & that the home countries of these FOREIGN nationals will not be asked to pay a penny towards their prison bill, considering how overcrowded & financially stretched our prisons are already? Is this fair justice for us, or punishment for them?
2. In cases such as these ALONE should the death penalty be introduced where the failed bombers guilt is unquestionable & where he intended to kill himself anyway? If not, why?

Do you like it? Well, get used to it. Because that’s the message you are sending to the rest of the world at the moment, especially to your enemies. That oily rag-head Bin Laden must be rubbing his hands with joy at the moment sensing that he is about to force the greatest nation in the world to turn and run. America declared ‘War on Terror’, and LOST!

Just what the hell is going on with your Congress at the moment? These people don’t care about your solders in the field, 9/11 or your future security. All they care about is scoring points against George Bush. They want to bring down Bush at any price. Did you really vote for this?

Please, sort these people out. Every time they attack Bush in this way they are causing more US troops to die. Your enemy is growing in confidence and support because of this and will carry out bigger and bolder attacks against your troops. Deal with them and quickly, time is running out. Otherwise this is going to be far worse than Vietnam. Because this is a battle none of us can afford to lose.

This is not the America I know and Love.

A Britt.
