"A police source said yesterday: “It was not a case of the McCann´s friends simply going over their statements. There was a reason why they were present in the station at the same time as Murat."

In the news report it implies it was for identification purposes, which sounds a bit strange seeing as how murats picture has been everywhere. I personally wonder if they think there is a connection between Murat and these friends. The police obviously feel these friends hold the key or else they wouldnt have gone to all the effort of having them fly in from England.

The plot thickens ...........

The whole world is focused on this case.and in the hope that the Police in Portugal will get a result. They will and soon, they have their reputation to consider.People everywhere have tried to find this innocent child and is worth noting if she is found she will hold the key to the mystery. The plot was clever but has many flaws as you know.Just how far will a human being go for money. I hope by now you have got my point loud and clear.I cannot find words to condem the purpotraters of this henous crime .

I hope the net is finally closing in on whoever is involved, but it could drag on even longer, that article says that the Police could keep Murat as a suspect in that way, for up to 8 months!!

I hope not, for Madeleines sake, she deserves some Justice.

He's getting desperate now, interesting to read that the Mc's are out of the country, they went missing the last time the PJ were over here too, they have one meeting on Thursday evening in Brussels, so left yesterday, and will be staying "for a while"...ROFLMAO..... Poor Madeleine, neglected, lost trademarked.... Ohh BTW, there are 2 prosecutors in the full party, so, he might be wrong about status changes....

I'm beginning to lose faith in these guys. I think they are out of ideas and are simply retracing their steps in the hope that they may get lucky. I hope I am wrong, but I predict that in the next few weeks the police will make an announcement that they are stumped (along with a reference to the fact that the McCann's had destroyed the crime scene handicapping their investigation).

The police are investigating Murat's connection with an involved 3rd party.

Murat is IDing them not the other way round.

I think the end is in sight and we Anti McCanns will all be saying "We told you so". This whole thing has been a McCann cover up from the start, you only had to look at Kate's behaviour and Gerry's attitude. I bet the McCanns and friends are ALL getting a bit hot under the collar now .

Right from day one i couldn't understand why friends in the party weren't questioned more. Its much more likely that a child would go off with someone they know one without too much fuss- after friends were taking it in turns to check on the children. What are the chances of some stranger walking by and knowing that the kids were alone in that place????? Its all a bit fishy.

The plot definitely thickens. I hope the police get a breakthrough, and fast.

There is definitely more to the situation than we are being told.I get the impression that the Portuguese police aren't getting anywhere very fast.
