I received a call from my brother telling me to turn on the news, any news. My brother isn't excitable or prone to call so early so I turned on the tube just in time to see the second plane hit. My first thought "stupid as it was" was that there had been a serious miscalculation by a landing tower or air traffic controller. Then it started to sink in, I got very tense and numb. It was very surrealistic, my wife started to cry and I just held her, locked onto the TV. I don't remember anything else about that day. I do remember getting my daughters and just keeping them with me, right in my sight.

I was driving my liquor delivery truck. The first thing I heard was the local drive time morning monkey of a DJ say that a small plane had hit one of the twin towers. Since that had recently happened at the White House, I wasn't overly concerned about it. Then one of my liquor stores had their lotto TV tuned into the news, and I saw the huge fire, and knew that it was not a Cessna. At the time I was not a praying man, but I stopped and said a prayer for the people who I knew had to have died. Then as I was watching the second plane hit, and I knew that we were at war. I was dumbfounded when the first tower collapsed. The rest of the day I was just numb. I was a zombie driving around town making my deliveries. Until I saw Air Force fighter jets circling overhead. Then I got scared.
I live in the Midwest, where not an awful lot happens on a national scale, except for the occasional tornado and flooding. So I knew that it was bad if they were patrolling in metropolitan air space.
That weekend I went out and got our flag tattooed on my arm. Just a tiny way saying that I will NEVER forget that we were attacked. If I weren't too old and out of shape, I would have re-enlisted in the Army on the day after the attacks.
It is truly sad how many people there are out there that think that this was perpetrated by our government. Sad, sick people.

I was gettng ready for school when it happened, in California. It was scary to see the Twin Towers collapse, the Pentagon burn, and sad that so many people were killed. I was angry at first at whoever did this act. I was also very proud of our fallen heroes on flight 93 that brought the hijackers down before they got a chance to kill more people.
But as the months passed, I got a hunch that Bush would somehow use this to start some mess in the Middle East. And he did. I became outraged at the lies he started telling- the WMD's in Iraq that never materialized; his dumb display of "Mission Accomplished" on an aircraft carrier in his costume when people knew damn well that we had barely began, and now I feel like he's still trying to get those terrorists that did 9/11.
Sometimes I want to go up to GWB, slap some smarts into him and say that "we cannot get back at these people! They are DEAD! What will starting a war in Iraq do, except kill more people and start more mess?"
I had a gut feeling whenever I heard him on TV before and after this event that he was stretching the truth, at least.
I was only 21 at the time, and I was just as outraged as others were, but when I sat down and thought about it, I felt my heartstrings being pulled, not my brain stimulated, by GWB. So, I did not, do not, and NEVER WILL support GWB because he is full of sh**. Always has been.

I was at home. My mom had called and told me a plane crashed into the WTC so I flipped the news on. I then called my best friend and told her...as I was talking to her the 2nd plane crashed. We both just went numb for quite a long time. Didnt even talk to one another just sat their on the phone in awe. About an hour after the news had started about the WTC my local news interrupted to inform people there was a masked gunman running about the woods near my kids school and the school was in lock down and informed parents that children would not beable to leave the school and parents could not get in until they felt it was safe. My 2 oldest kids were in K and 1st grade at the time. This was not something that was common at all in my area. It was a very emotional day. Something that will always stay vivid in my mind. I don't have to watch it to be reminded.

I was at home on the staircase leading to second floor
when one of the tenent came out of his room shouting
someone is bombing America its a third world war
and there are planes everywhere and noone
seems to know what is happening, there are explosions
everywhere Pentagon building is down.
I rushed to ground floor and switched on the TV
and was furious and called my loved ones and found they were safe in USA I was mad and horrified and angry at those
people who ever were responsible for doing this henious acts. I also called my friends and they too could not believe and some of them were furious, some even said it must be the Russians doing it to Americans and all sorts of allegations and suggestions on phone and within half-an-hour the electricity went off. Aaah those Electicity fellow at it again, but then we grew up in this kind of environment.
I called all my friends and was getting the news
from their localities where there was electricity.
Later on we were all shocked to learn that those responsible
were actually from a friendly country Saudi Arabia and his
name is Binladen. We even discussed how the Americans
are going to get Saudi Arabia and petrol will be cheaper and
Kingdom of Saudi Arabia will be a part of USA and those
Princes and future Kings may in future work for
Burger King and McDonalds.
We were kind of happy but till date nothing
has even happened to Saudi Arabia and
America remains a very good friends even after
knowing the nationality of
Binladen and the sources of funds for these plots.
Hope my answer remains for a while,
before Yahoo deletes it.
My prayers for the victims of that day 9/11.

On the morning of 9-11, I was getting ready for work and turned on TV while dressing and at first thought I was watching a movie then realized what I was watching was in real time. My emotions were shock, sadness, anger followed by thoughts of revenge, which is still with me and will remain for the rest of my life.

I was awaken by my mom saying something was going on on channel 7 (this was while the first tower was being hit), but since they had no clue what was going on I still had to go to school. So I was at my best friend's house a little later getting ready for just the second week of my freshman year, I was wearing a plaid skirt and that part always stuck in my mind because it was odd for me to be wearing a skirt in those days, when her mom came in and said another airplane hit the second tower (we were listening to the coverage on the radio because the tv was broken), and we were all a little scared because we had no clue what was going on. But we wanted answers so we went to school to see if the teachers had any. They didn't, that whole day went by in a blur of CNN news reports that were playing in all six of my school periods. I haven't worn a plaid skirt since because I still associate it with that horrible day.

I was working third shift at the time and was relaxing on the computer with the TV on after work. When the plane hit the first tower I was shocked. I was horrified when the second plane hit because I immediately knew it was no freak accident. I watched the news coverage and bawled all morning.

I was in school actually in art class and I saw smoke coming from a building. Later that night I was in a hospital lobby and they had the news on. By that time both towers had fallen but I just sat there in the waiting room for hours and hours watching the towers fall over and over again. They don't show the news footage on documentaries that they showed on that day for some reason though.
