How stupid is the media and how stupid do they think *you* are?

Headline: "Biotechs try to take corn out of ethanol"
They claim: "The ethanol craze is putting the squeeze on corn supplies and causing food prices to rise."

Ethanol can be made out of *anything* that contains starch or sugar: rice, potatoes, sugar beets, apples, pears, wheat, rye, etc. There's even a plant called "comfrey" that contains significantly more starch than corn and is easily converted into alcohol. Corn isn't the only thing can be used to create ethanol.

And before you screaming liberals start up with your insults, let me tell you how I know. Back in 1979 (before you were born, kiddies) there was a gas shortage. I lived in Washington. I converted my car to alcohol fuel. I used discarded apples and grew comfrey to create plenty of ethanol to run my car.

Ethanol can be created without corn. So conservatives...don't worry. Libs...start panicking.

With the recent Imus situation, what do people think of Al Sharpton?

Does Al Sharpton owe the Duke Lacrosse players an apology now that the charges have been dropped against them?

Personally, I would never support such a hypocritical individual. I feel that he "wants his cake, and eat it too"

Please submit your opinions.....

why can't you admit we are fighting these terrorists and horrible, horrible suicide bombers? You keep trying to prove that the 9/11 terrorits were Saudis and have nothing even too do with why we are in IRAQ. Which even if those terrorists were Saudis, many of these horrific bombers are using vulnerable IRAQ as a front for a battle ground? So before you try to answer with your smart remarks please respond intelligently.

Am I the only white man in this country that can see that Sharpton is a freedom fighter?! Civil rights activists who aren't controversial are just publicity hogs. Let's give the man some credit. Almost a century since Ms. Parks refused to move and we're still making people of color fight for the right to be treated equal! Shame on us all! Didn't the great one- Ghandi, teach us anything?!

Coach Stringer said they accepted the apology but, "We still find his statements to be unacceptable, and this is an experience that we will never forget.....we hope that this will be and serve as a catalyst for change. Let us continue to work hard together to make this world a better place."

(clap, clap) Well said!!

Personally, I don't think Imus is one bit sorry except he is sorry he lost his job.
I don't know about you, but he seemed bery riled up about the loss. Maybe he lost money on a bet so he was mad.

I certainly agree with actions of the team Coach, how do you feel about it?

He attacks Imus for what he said (and I am not an Imus fan by the way) but still nothing from him towards the Duke players. If memry serves me correct he was puttinmg a racial spin on this case just like every other situation he gets involved in. He should give a public apology and be at the least suspended for what he said.
