She should not continue to be friends with any of the people involved with causing the damage. Being quite honest though, there is precious little that you can do, apart from a damn good telling off, and ensure that she shows contrition for what she has allowed to happen. 2) after surviving i'd make them work all their lives to start paying me back.
3) keep demanding all throughout their lives that they give me back my money, down to the last penny. If THEY don't then their children will have to. Otherwise i'll be hiring a lawyer.
