Hello, this is Al Sharpton. I'm sorry Duke players. I was just going by the evidence as it was presented by the prosecuting attorney. I do have one question however. If the alleged victim, did indeed lie, why isn't she being prosecuted? Word has it that she was financially compensated to recant her story. Why after all of this turmoil and confusion is the prosecuting attorney the only one facing criminal charges? If this young lady fabricated the story as they say, then I feel she to should face charges . Something still doesn't seem quite right. But the public will buy it because them Duke dudes are white.

I do not think just because you do not agree with Sharpton's regular practice makes him have to apologize for speaking the truth in regards to Imus. He was just stating the facts and he did not make it a racial issue, it is what it is. So what exactly are you saying that he should apologize for, what statement? Sharpton began his show by saying Imus' comments were "racist" and "diabolical." He then replayed the controversial remarks from Imus' own show, in which Imus referred to members of the mostly black Rutgers team as "nappy-headed hos."
that sounds very racist.
Now I do not think that Imus should have been fired. I think that after his suspension he would have been more concious of what he was saying and how it might affect some. But I also do not feel that Sharpton was wrong for stating what he feels should be done for Imus's actions.
Sharpton said he still believed Imus should be fired because he made such racially hurtful comments on a mainstream show that routinely hosted political candidates and top-tier journalists.

Apologize for what he didn't do anything wrong. What if that had been 3 black guys from NCCU ( A predominantly black college in NC) they would be hanging from a d@mn oak somewhere by now. So why should he apologize. Anyway he did tell Imus that he could come out of that whole ordeal unscathed that in it's self was Al Sharpton not going all the way to his throat.

I would think that being falsely prosecuted for rape has done greater harm to their lives, than a stupid remark by a shock jock has had on the Rutgers players. Now that Duke players have been pronounced innocent, where do they go to get their good names back? Sharpton could help by apologizing for wrongly condemning them for a crime they didn't commit.
The Rutgers players never lost their good names because of Imus, since nobody takes him seriously anyway; aside from the fact that he made no real accusation.

I'll be the first to say that Al Sharpton doesn't speak for me. I really hate the fact that many Black Americans have let them be their spokesman.
You don't see Al - nor Jesse Jackson for that matter - commenting on the Duke situation now because things did not go as planned. They were certain Crystal Gail Mangum was gang raped and spun it to their advantage....instead of seeing that Ms. Mangum was really a troubled woman that needed professional help.
He and Jesse owe those former Duke lacrosse players an apology...and an apology to Ms. Mangum for not truly finding her the help she needed. Sadly, you won't see one coming any time soon.

Al said he'd be right over. That next knock will be him.
If he has not been in touch otherwise its because of the individual house calls to beg parden and forgiveness.
You'll do the Christian thing won't our dear sweet lad?
Al thinks you might. He's bringing over some papers
so reader can make a hefty donation for good works.
Its a liberal concept which will be explained I'm sure but
don't keep him too long. Millions are waiting, you know.

disagree that they incite racial hatred. quite, they espouse a view that has consistently made MANY others exterior the Black community uncomfortable. enable me with out put off upload they do no longer talk for each Black individual who walks the planet..ok? I honestly have seen them ask for forgiveness. Jesse maximum rather on the Democratic nationwide convention for the "hymie" commentary. i understand that his sins heavily isn't forgiven via people who do unlike him on the comparable time no person mentions Rush Limbaugh's drug abuse, or the reality that the 1st woman ran over somebody who died. Their sins are actually not tossed approximately. they're controlled, understood. Jesse on the different hand motives human beings to lose concentration Too undesirable, so unhappy, there is a lot artwork to be performed right here in u.s.. Neither Jesse nor Al must be the concentration in this debate. the priority is the respect of girls.

The sad thing is, Al Sharpton doesn't have to Appologize because he's black.
I'm a black woman that is embarrassed by him. Let me tell you why...
If you are black and anti-white in Memphis TN and walk around down town handing out your muslim pamplits to ONLY blacks and snubbing the whites, that is Ok, you are considered "PRO BLACK"
if you are WHITE and anti-black in Memphis TN you are considered 'RACIST"
what is the differrence??
So AL Sharpton can attack innocent white folks and walk away like nothing happened, it's ok.
BUT GOD FORBID a white man attack some innocent black men, he would lose his face, his career, his job.
it's sad. it's really sad
i see black comedians on TV all the time (CHRIS ROCK) constantly talking bad about whites, he was on Larry King not to long ago and he has so much hatred towards whites he was shaking and trying to do his fake chuckle to blow it off. why is he not losing his career over it?? Where are the high and mighty white folks to protect the rights of whites that are ambushed by black bullies and blakc racists??
So NO, in this day and age, al sharpton doens't have to appologize, in his eyes, and in societies eyes, there is no such thing as a black harassing a white.
Sorry Imus, if you were black talking bad about whites and calling them trailor trash and crackers, you'd still have a job.

Yes I agree Al Sharpton does go to the extreme, and was discovered as a fraud more then once. Read his Biography, oh yeah and he is not supportive of Barack Obama, calling him not black enough because his parents weren't those of slaves. What an asshole ? I think Barack Obama would be a great president.

You are so right, but hell will freeze over before we hear even a hint of an apology from that jerk. Let's boycott everything and anyone who supports Sharpton until he gets put where he belongs - outta sight and outta mind.
