programme, without doubt Israel will have been planning for such an occurance for many years. What can Israel do? A neighbour declares his genocidal wish and is aquiring the means to do it. Israel has had nuclear weapons for many years but has consistently refused to use them so a pre-emptive non-nuclear strike to knock out Iran's ability to develop a nuclear arsonal seems likely. So how soon should we expect this strike?

Iran's claim that it's programme is for peaceful ends is unbelivable and largely irrelevant since Israel won't believe this of a country that declares its intension to destroy them

I just moved across the country with my boyfriend so I don't have any friends in the area yet. Drinking doesn't go so well with he and I and we aren't much into the bar scene. My birthday is on Thursday, the 12th and I don't know what to do. We don't have very much money to spend and eating out is not an option.

Anyone have any ideas?? We live in Riverside, California which is inbetween San Diego and Los Angeles.

I was wondering if many people on the world are bunch of uhhhh! I can't say but it seems mean. I was listening to singers who tell a bunch of girls to shake it so they can feel they're cocoa puffs?! I see girls dressing up as if all they need is a tight t-shirt and short skirts to make it in life?! and yesterday I heard my cousines the age of six cusing to each other telling themselves to f**k off! there way more but I can't type that much. Do other users think our world is getting out of hand?

I feel that it is my right as a Southern person to fly the rebel flag. To me it means History and if people read their History they marched into battle with the stard and bars flag so that should be the flag they have a problem with. Not the Rebel Flag it is our heritage. It is like asking america to get ride of the american flag because it is racial to Mexicans and people from other countries. I mean think about it. What if someone asked you to take down your nascar flag cause they did not like it' or they asked you to take down your christian flag because they are baptist. When are people ever gonna learn. The Rebel flag just means history now people. THe north won and we Southerners are aware of that but we are not gonna give up out heritage with out a fight.....

It just seems like a big "f*** you" to me, but what do I know...I'm just a dumb bloke from Connecticut.

I guess it seems like some of what it might stand for is: ugliness and hatred.

Does it just mean, "I love the South?" Does it mean, "I hate black people"? Does it mean, "I have no identity, so I will latch on to an antiquated symbal that bothers many people"? Does it mean, "I'm in love with the transvestite that lives down the steet, but I can't let my NASCAR buddies know, so I fly the flag as a 'secret' symbol of my love"? Does it mean, "I love biscuits and gravy with grits on the side, even though I know it will eventually cause vascular complications and probably kill me via massive heart failure"? What is the attachment to a stupid flag?

Again, pardon my ignorance, I have just never understood...

Local community activist Joy Powell this morning turned herself in to Rochester Police, after being accused of breaking into a relative's home and attacking her cousin, about 30 hours earlier.
The Rev. Joyce E. Powell, 44, of 127 First St. was charged with first-degree burglary and second-degree assault, both felonies, said Rochester Police Officer Deidre Taccone. Powell was also charged with fourth-degree criminal mischief, a misdemeanor, Taccone said. According to court records, Powell, an anti-violence activist, and several other people broke a window at 61 Copeland St. Sunday evening and entered the house. Once inside, Powell and the others allegedly repeatedly beat her 44-year-old female cousin with a small baseball bat and allegedly sprayed mace in the woman's face. http://www.democratandchronicle.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20061010/NEWS01/610110342
