I just moved across the country with my boyfriend so I don't have any friends in the area yet. Drinking doesn't go so well with he and I and we aren't much into the bar scene. My birthday is on Thursday, the 12th and I don't know what to do. We don't have very much money to spend and eating out is not an option.

Anyone have any ideas?? We live in Riverside, California which is inbetween San Diego and Los Angeles.

Go to one of those latenight bowling alleys. Or a skating rink. IS there a Dave & Buster's where you are at? That's a place where kids and grownups can go to play arcade games and eat. Its open late and it fun.

This Victorian house was built in 1891 and serves today as a historical tribute to that era. The furniture is original from the house and the people who lived there in the beginning (a wealthy orange-ranching widow). You will take a guided tour of both floors, as well as the servants' quarters out back. Take the kids on this tour to learn a lot about Riverside's history; they will enjoy exploring the many rooms and areas of the house. History comes to life when it is seen exactly as it was lived. Admission is free, but donations are welcome.

A nice quiet candle lit dinner for two and a shower together with some desert in the bed room might just fit the bill.

Go to the store buy some snacks, rent a movie or two and just chill at the house. That sounds like a good B-Day to me!

Take a walk with him? Go to a park before closing time? Let the taxpayers pay for it; then you don't have to. And you're welcome there.
