How many private sector missions have been flown into space?

I know about 6 of them, but that's all I've been able to uncover. I'm talking about missions that had nothing to do with NASA.

Gotta be hundreds...Every time the space shuttle goes into orbit, the astronauts perform scientific test on behalf of NASA and all kinds of other private sector companies and governmental agencies.
