Local community activist Joy Powell this morning turned herself in to Rochester Police, after being accused of breaking into a relative's home and attacking her cousin, about 30 hours earlier.
The Rev. Joyce E. Powell, 44, of 127 First St. was charged with first-degree burglary and second-degree assault, both felonies, said Rochester Police Officer Deidre Taccone. Powell was also charged with fourth-degree criminal mischief, a misdemeanor, Taccone said. According to court records, Powell, an anti-violence activist, and several other people broke a window at 61 Copeland St. Sunday evening and entered the house. Once inside, Powell and the others allegedly repeatedly beat her 44-year-old female cousin with a small baseball bat and allegedly sprayed mace in the woman's face. http://www.democratandchronicle.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20061010/NEWS01/610110342

You know what? I really don't see your connection between criminal activity and a person's voting party.

How do you know she was a Democrat?

Maybe she was an independent, Green, Peace & Freedom, or Libertarian. You don't know anything about her affiliation.

Your personal slogan should be: "Unencumbered by the thought process." * It's a perfect fit.

BTW, the *newspaper* is the Rochester (NY) Democrat and Chronicle.

What's your point?
Right to Lifers blow up abortion clinics and kill medical staff
Republican Conservatives rail against the vile pedopiles - yet are soliciting underage children themselves
Presidents pledge allegiance to their country - yet cannot remain faithful to their wives
Politicians push for staunch laws punishing people who drive while intoxicated and then they go out and do it themselves

All these people have hypocritical aspects to their lives. You think she's the only one?

I certainly agreed ! ! ! ,,,,,,, That is a terrible thing for a Democrat to do ,,,,,, But what is more terrible is when a prominent male Republican will contact 16 year old page boys or other underage males to have play talk with them over the computer and God only knows what else they do to them when they are alone together in a hotel room ,,,,,,,,, Yoda said that ,,,,,,,,,,
