After Jack Straw and Gordon Brown commented that they preferred Muslim women to unveil when talking to them a news reports suggests that some universities may follow suit and ban veils from their campuses. Is this a genuine attempt to break down cultural barriers? If the Muslim world had not had such a bad image in the western world would wearing veils still be an issue?

Why must women still predominate in the waitress category?
The position is inherently servile. You must smile, be peppy,
feign happiness and joviality, and do everything but put on a little
dance when you service your customers.
Meanwhile, the male chefs are opeing up high-end restaurants all
over, including Vegas, and raking in the bucks.
What gives? Why do you only find blue-collar females in the servile
role of server/waitress?

Especially now with the nuclear tests being done by north korea, something ought to be done about this. What do you suggest should be done by the united nations? Should United States get involve in some kind of preventive actions. This cannot be ignored because to my opinion it could lead to a much more destructive action in retalliation against one another and turn into a world war.
Don't you think, nations should use more wisdom and learn from the past?

It's good that this teacher was fired. Nude sculptures are works of the devil. This is another good sign that Christians are taking back America.

In reading Yahoo answers (not to mention reading the newspapers), it has become obvious that people in the US view sex with teenagers as the most hideous imagineable crime, one that should be punished by castration, death, etc. Why? I wouldn't want to argue in favor of it, and I know the serious and lasting emotional impacts it can have, but it seems like people get much more worked up about it then they do about beating kids, emotionally destroying them, etc. There are worse things than sex, even for teenagers. I believe this is the 21st century version of the witch hunt. So go ahead, start with the e-mails telling me I'm a pervert and you're reporting me to big brother and I deserve to be in prison for life.

I've seen pictures of her, and she dressed and made herself up like a high priced hooker. Hookers sometimes meet with bad ends. Shouldn't this serve as a morality tale for us all?

Didn't GWB just explain that there is no threat of invasion, no threat of violence, but yet NK is threatening "physical violence" if we continue to "push" them! WTF do they expect?! Oh sure! You just go ahead and continue building your nuclear arsenal on a bogus security threat, and the rest of the world is supposed to just sit back and pretend that NK is a peaceful country that has always cooperated so graciously in the past! Right! My grandfather was in the Korean War! I say, before we give them ANYMORE time to create their "defense", we, with the other leaders of the world, put the heat on! They think the USA is an issue? How about adding Russia, The UK, China, Spain, Germany, France, Japan, SK, and Canada (yes, Canada) to the mix?! Pyongyang needs a G*DD@MN bullet in his head!

Thanks for hearing me vent.:)

Is it that elementary teachers are really just an extension of the mother role itno the workplace?
I accidentally called my 6th grade teacher "Mom" once as a kid, so
I know the freudian slip betrayed that surrogate mother role that elementary teachers play big time.
Woman also can capture the child more inside themselves. When you see young early 20's teachers interect with kids, it almost seems as if the young ladies are kids themselves. Look at them read kids a story, and the childlike enthusiasm emoted as they turn the pages.

Most Americans are completely unaware that the last minute add on by FRIST - that President Bush will sign the bill on October 13, 2006 --- that it has ABSOLUTELY NOTHING to do with GAMBLING!

It has to do with Banks and the Internet Recording every transaction - every click that you make - and reporting it to the Government WITHOUT a SEARCH WARRANT.

Read the Bill - Make up your own mind and pass the word on.

Do you know ANYTHING about it?

And Why hasn't the news media been reporting on it?

Do you realize it will take away your Constitutional Rights and is being hidden behind the words "GAMBLING"?

Seriously - find H.R. 49543 PDF - look it up on any search engine - search Congress...

And THINK for yourself.

Pass the word on...

And tell me what you think about it.

Is it alright for the US to do this?

Do you think the Media is purposefully NOT covering it?
