Will people like you ever stop provoking other people?

I hope not.

If the resemblance to the Ka'ba is not just a coincidence (and I'm sure there are lots of black, cube-shaped buildings around) then Apple are being provocative in a time of religious tension. Though this would not, of course, make it right to bomb their offices.

Given Apple's sleek and minimal design ethics I imagine they are not deliberately copying anything and the building simply complies with their image.

The word Mecca is often used as a general term for somewhere where enthusiasts gather and I do not think anything should be read into it.

From http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/mecca

Mecca:

2. (often lowercase) any place that many people visit or hope to visit: The president's birthplace is a mecca for his admirers.
