when my children were young they weren't fat because they didn't have the option of watching TV or sitting for hours in front of a computer. They were very active even if it was just chasing each other through the house. Also, they only had 3 meals per day only and no snacking in between. It was always nice to have a dessert but that was saved for special occasions so the sugar content wasn't so high. The trick to having unfat kids is to train them from a very small age good eating habits and keep active

Despite the mother of my daughter being the size of a small housing estate, my daughter turned out quite slim as has my son.
But, my new partner and I do have them on the treadmill generating our eco friendly electricity supply on their weekly visits so that might have something to do with their toned appearance.

my kids re perfect - muscly with broad shoulders. especially the elder one who looks more like a man now. i give them healthy food which i cook EVERY DAY which includes porrige in the morning, then they eat at school, then at home rice or potato with meat. i give them meat every day. in the evening some sandvich with cheese and milk. they eat fruits in between the meals. also all are enrolled in sport clubs and the elder visits gym with me every week in winter and every day in summer, younger ones re too young for gym. so what do u do with your kids that they re fat? also i don't let them play computer or play station and watch tv all day non stop. they have to go outside for a while to play on fresh air.

I don't have any kids myself but you are right, there are some right little 'porkers' around. It all stems from the parenting if you ask me.
If I had any I'd send them to Fat Camp.

My 4 kids have always ranged in the 20th to 50th percentile for weight, and their pediatrician says they're healthier for it (not being as heavy as most these days)!

no, it's called discipline on myself and my wife's part.
We don't give in to our kids desires of eating junk food all the time, it's a simple solution.
Where has all the disciplining of our children gone?

No - got four and they're all fine.
They eat home cooked foods (remember them!), do lots of exercise and fast foods are treats.
