Do Americans as well as the rest of the world deserve to know what really happened to Pat Tillman over there?

Why do American's insist on using metaphors like "football field" when describing distance, even worse, "three football fields". Who has seen three football fields, end to end?
And "War zone" to describe a storm's damage? How many Americans have actually seen a war zone, everyone has seen a storm damage.
One evening, on an American channel, I heard of a battle-field being described as looking like it had been struck by a tornado.
Now that is taking it too far.
STOP THIS DAMNED METAPHORICAL SPEAKING!
Any comments?

I just think when a tragedy is this bizzare, you have to think outside the box for a cause.

I think you have to think about terrorisim. I'm not labeling every tragedy terrorism, but i would start by looking at the signs.

Noah Kunin : Why the hell is he on the news saying he "lives closer to the bridge than anyone in MN, he's blogging and reporting on all stations a perfected story...not judging him, could be a hero, could be distracting.

Number two, the maintance workers weren't working on the actual structure of the bridge, just the pavement. however we need to find out if they were usuing large equipment, factor the heat, and the traffic etc.

But still, a bridge of 40 years doesn't fall like that, at least like a pancake...

Twin cities....twin towers (probably a big stretch/coincidence)

However, what scares me is the fact that most attacks or attempted ones in our country have inside workers (la guradia..security guys affiliated with al q)

could maintance worker

"Peak Oil" means that we are beginning to use more oil than is being discovered. Consequently, prices of all things depending on oil are increasing very rapidly. There is consensus among experts for the past 40 years. Is this information being systematically surpressed? Why don't we see stories on FOX news?

"Police are investigating the sighting of girl who bore a "striking resemblance" to missing Madeleine McCann at a restaurant in Belgium.

Officers stressed they were taking this latest lead "very seriously".

A woman reported seeing a child she believed to be the missing four-year-old with a young couple on the cafe terrace in the town of Tongeren, near Maastricht, on Wednesday. "

But check out the photofit of the suspect. My God, who looks like that!!!

We all have different interests so what sort of news really has an impact on you? Mine tends to be anything child related or cruelty to animals.

If so, why are they barely helping the ACTUAL victims with only 20 dollars per survivor. Pathetic. Would your country still exist if the holocaust didn't happen? THESE PEOPLE WENT THROUGH THE HOLOCAUST! You only talk about it.

I was watching a film on it and this man was saying that it was an inside job. He said look at the facts no building can fall in 10seconds of 45 minutes of burning. I don't know I'm so confused.
Watch this film it's really revealing.

Alright, I was watching CNBC (I think that's the one.. hmm) last night.. and it started out with 6 confirmed deaths.. about 2 hours later they had 7 confirmed.. (that happens obviously)... but I went to sleep.. woke up and when I turned the TV on they said 4 confirmed deaths.. okay.. what 3 people don't count anymore? The ones last night were CONFIRMED.. so, how would you say they could get 3 less in the morning?

I'm just curious.. and I don't hold fault with the news anchors or anything.. (although one of them last night was pretty bad.. kept making guesses that would leave a conspiracy theorist with plenty of fodder) and I realize that it is a chaotic environment.. but that is why the importance of confirmation is important.. (As I recall one of the doctor's also confirmed the 6.. but after that update he said they weren't having another briefing that night)
With the hundreds of questions about this event, I didn't want to add more, but I didn't notice one about this.

I mean, is it really that bad?

Don't get me wrong. Things aren't getting better out there but they aren't getting any worser either. I think the biggest change in the last 20 years has been our sensitivity to things that "shake our world" or comfort zone. I think the media is largely to blame for this. The media is constantly looking for disaster stories and the negative side of things. The modern media is creating mass paranoia and over-reaction in today's highly tenative society. Don't you think?
