I havne't looked into your links, but it is because of fear and/or arrogance.
It makes you feel superior if you believe there are people on this earth who are not your equal. You are the "chosen" ones. And of course, it is somethng you teach your kids.
One day we will all be a lovely khaki colour and it won't matter anymore. The government should subsidise racial inter-marriage!

it is simple. it is to do with the way they were brought up and the social climate under which they were brought up.Starts from nursey.... E li min li mind li mo catch the ****** by his toes , then schools where teachers jokingly said colour people live in the jungle swinging from tree to trees , then in the work place people making monkey chants in front of their colored colleagues , then at home where comedians cracking racist jokes on the telly ...... need I say more . However , I think most importantly is the way historians tell us what they wanted us to believe ... the slave trade was about giving africans a free ride to the new world , gave them jobs , gave them foods .., colonization of India was to give the indians the railway , the english language ... . My own observation is that if you see someone always cracks racist jokes or make racist comments , you can bet your last dollar he or she is a racist.

good simple question with a complex answer . racism is learned sometimes by peer pressure to fit in with a certain group, sometimes its economic as people are taught to despise poor people who can do nothing for them. for some it's insecurity based on guilt or an inferiority or superiority complex. there are many reasons but none of them are good ones.

I believe that racism is the birthchild of ignorance. We don't take the time to understand the other "different" person and ultimately categorize them, usually presuming the worse possibly b/c we don't take the time to see the better.

I do not understand racism because its such an uncivilized and barbaric practice. We should question the intelligence of anyone who engages in it.
