If we did pay more in taxes for improved infrastructure, I'm sure the government would blow it all on affirmative action programs, foo stamps, and foot washing stations for flying imams. Eehhh!! ts

No. The trillions of dollars going into Bush's war machine is more than enough to cover the cost of infrastructures. But nooo...Georgy Porgie puttin on his lie, has to go to war and make the girls cry. And it COSTS!!!
So how can a nation pay for infrastructure when they have a war to fight? How?
Stop the bloody war. Reduce the friggin war machine, increase the diplomatic corps. These three actions will save literally trillions of dollars. That can go back into the land, and not into a foreign land. But not taxes.

You hit it right on the nose with this one Pal. People would rather complain and blame the Government, the President, anyone else but, themselves, then they could cry about it and talk about it later.
Ask everyone this, what would they be willing to give to their country instead of continually asking what their country should always give them?
Ask them what and when they will be willing to serve to help their country. How much they would be willing to pay in taxes to aide our country, our infrastructure, you'll get a "no" answer to all of these all the time.

I would not mind paying more if I KNEW where it was going. I know this sounds bad but it seems everyday corruption is revealed about every government agency. What the hell? If I made what these buffoons make with a lifetime job why would I even want more?

No because I am Canadian. My taxes are already sky-high in order to give hundreds of billions of dollars to Quebec to keep them from separating.
