Do you know much about the situation?
How do you feel about the approach taken to end the war?
Are you surprised that it was allowed to come to this with past events such as Rwanda?
Did you know about Rwanda before the movie Hotel Rwanda?
Have you done anything to help? Have you wanted to, but haven't "gotten around" to it?
What do you think about the situation in general?

"Norman who? Few news organizations covered last week's Congressional Gold Medal ceremony for Borlaug, which was presided over by President Bush and the leadership of the House and Senate. An elderly agronomist doesn't make news, even when he is widely credited with saving the lives of 1 billion human beings worldwide, more than one in seven people on the planet."

I haven't heard of this guy who save a billion lives, but it seems like I hear about Paris Hilton and now Lindsey Lohan every day. I think it's sad.

So, the TdF leader has just been removed from the tour, even though he has been clean since it's beginning. I understand his team has a zero tolerance policy, and he had been blood doping before the Tour and possibly fabricated a story about being in Mexico when he was spotted in Italy.. Either way, it was his teams decision and I believe it was the right one. How do you feel about his removal from the tour after watching his recent performances while he was clean?

ABC World News just reported that the U.S. government is planning to build a new embassy in the most dangerous part of Beirut, Lebanon, where Hezbullah terrorists control the region. WHY would anyone in our government make such an irresponsible, follish decision? Is there no one in our government with any degree of competency? -RKO-

This country seems determined to end up a nuclear pile of rubble. If America won't do the job, Israel will. Don't Persians think? Usually this kind of thinking is the realm of Arabs. That president of theirs is the biggest fool on the planet.

I know I will probably get blasted out of the cyber waters for this question, but what do you consider to be contributing factors in obesity?
In my maternal lineage, all the women seem to be very skinny from childhood to mid-twenties. Then something happens where they gain weight and cannot get it off. I know one person in our family died due to complications of obesity. She tried to lose, but could not, so it was not laziness.
I recently found results obtained by a study in Denmark of adopted children. The child's weight, adopted parents' weight and birth parents' weight were recorded for a different study over years. To be brief, the obese children had obese birth parents. The adoption program and the adoptive parents were both very pro-healthy lifestyle, so the only direct link for weight-gain was genetic.
Has anyone else read this? Do you know of any other studies? I know, many questions but I am....TC

Many businesses seem obsessed with outsourcing every job they can, and many highly trained people now can't find work. If we can't work, we can't live. All the chemical plants are being outsourced to China and India, and most of my chemist friends are out of work and very depressed. Those countries have no environmental laws and extremely cheap labor, it makes it ideal to shut down all fucntions in this country. How would you feel if that happened to you?

Doesn't it bother you that people and even CHILDREN in third world countries are working in sweatshops for places like Walmart. They are LOCKED in a room or are FENCED IN and HAVE to work. With no air conditioning or any kind or ventilation. And are payed LESS then a US dollar to work hard for HOURS. What they are are basically slaves!!! This is wrong!!! Ever wonder why Walmart is so cheap? Because they have people who live in other countries that work for nearly nothing. They live in terrible conditions and have SMALL childeren that have to work with them just to keep living there. Doesn' t this bother you people? Please star this question if you do think it is wrong. So people will be more willing to read this.

If someone jokingly says they have a gun, normally security would have them in custody in seconds. Yet there were no arrests in these cases. Could the plants be put there to try and justify the excessive security or for that matter the very existance of " Homeland Security"? It seems to me like it may be a feeble attempt to keep Americans on edge and also to impress them of how vigilent the "government" agencies are. They are supposed to know who tried to put the devices on the planes,( a couple were in "carry on" luggage." "Methinks, there is something rotten in the state of Denmark" or whichever states they were found in.
