I'd be hard-pressed to say it was good for America. The government practically had a nervous breakdown. However, the system eventually worked, and the bad guys finally lost. There's something to be said for that.

Yeah, it proved that even the president is not above the law, which is good. I wish we had more people like that today so we could bring down the corruption that currently exists (and yes it's bipartisan, you only assume i mean the current administration, conservatives, because you know it's corrupt and are totally fine with it)

Because it brought in the open how dirty politics are. Everyone running for office depends on inside information and hardly ever gets caught.

It allowed people who have had their heads stuck in the sand finally see that our government can and will break the law, lie, steal and kill if it suits them.
