If you actually decipher the beginning of terrorism to USA, it has been very long. It's not from Prez. Bush's time of 9/11. There were news from Al-Qaeda that there might be terrorist acts even during Clinton's time. Since this terrorism has spread so much over the last couple of years, it seems like it will continue even after Bush's time. And I don't think Dems will pull out troops from Iraq after they take over White House.

I believe that anyone that gets into the White House will reduce the troop level because the violence there now will not be resolved with military action. That doesn't mean we will cut-n-run, but that the US will no longer be taking the lead stablizing that country. Neighboring countries that have influence may become involved when Bush is gone.
Terrorism did not start with Bill Clinton or George Bush. The first event that I recall, and perhaps when the term terrorism was coined, was the 1976 Munich Games when jewish athletes were captured and killed. Will terrorism disappear? No. It is a constant that will be with us from now on.
Terrorism was a threat during Bill Clinton's Administration and they felt that they were addressing that threat appropriately at the time. Since 9/11/2001, our perspective has changed, the threat is more apparent to the public and the threat has been used to sway (control) public opinion about certain actions.

I think that the US will pull out of Iraq regardless of who wins the election, it is just a question of how soon, and even that may not very a whole lot. Will terrorism vanish, no. Terrorism isn't new, it's going to continue until the people who are doing it are caught and then in the future others will probably follow their lead, but it might slow down if we catch some of the main people. As for when Clinton was in office, it wasn't as big of a threat until 9/11...

Yes I believe the Democrats will pull us out of Iraq when, not if, they take the White House. I don't even think it matters WHO the Democratic candidate ends up being, because most people are so disgusted with who's in the White House now. Unfortunately, I don't think President Bush will ever pull any troops out, because if he does, he believes it will make him look bad and like he shouldn't have gone in there in the first place. So I think it will take voting in a Democratic candidate before any troop withdrawals occur, and that's unfortunate. As far as terrorism goes, as long as their are religious fanatical Muslims, there will be terrorism against us since that seems to be the one thing on their minds.

Terrorism will never disappear.
It's been used as long as war has existed.
It was used by the Israelis against the British, the Contras against the Sandinistas in Nicaragua, French against the Nazis, mujahadeen against the Soviets, and now the Iraqis against the Americans, and so on and so on.
It's a tactic used by the powerless against the powerful and will exist forever.

Terrorism has always been a threat, and it will always be a threat. Dems might pull out of Iraq and if they do we should prepare for a lot more american deaths.

by pull out you mean....?
I think they will leave some troops behind to help rebuild Iraq, clean up land mines, repair property damage, help protect terror targets etc. ... but it won't be a total withdrawal...
no.
yup, Columbine (school shootings), OK City, HW Bush assassination attempt, Indonesia, WTC bombing, millennium boarder busts in Buffalo, that guy flew a prop plane into the White House.. uss cole, those emabssies in africa... those last 2 were bin laden too.
it just wasn't everything like it was after that day.
flaming sword no one prevented that day, they just beat us man... that simple... its no one's fault but terrorists.

hmmm thats a really good question. i'm only 14, but i think that if we get a democratic pres. then maybe we'll finally get out of iraq. but it wont be the end to all terrorism, thats something that will keep happening, no matter what we do.

Any and all running for the white house that say they are going to pull out of Iraq are LYING.
They know they are lying. They know they are not even thinking about it or how to do it or even coming up with some kind of pull out plan.
It is all smoke.
