It is always a possibility. But thank goodness for the brave volunteers we have now. My Cousin just joined the Army, he is through Boot Camp and now in Paratrooper training. I am obviously quite proud of him.
But I do hope if a draft comes back they only draft Men. I don't wish to go into combat and I feel other girls feel the same way. I am a homebody and plan to keep the home fires burning.

Will the government institute a draft? I doubt it. The momentum is gone, the pendulum is swinging the other way.
Young men and women will willingly enlist in sufficient numbers if they believe they are serving the country's best interests & defending her interests. A draft is the tool of last resort, when anniliation is knocking at your door.

No. The various branches of the military are meeting their annual recruiting and retention goals. And tis type of war doesn't need "cannon fodder" to make a frontal assault on the enemy. The only thing the Congress has to do is raise the manpower ceilings for the various branches. It is preposterous to task the Coast Guard with port security when their total manpower is less than the number of uniformed police on the streets of New York City.

I think it is a possibility.
I guess it all just depends on so many variables.
So many citizens in the U.S. today seem to simply hate themselves. They don't really know why and they likely could not explain it to you.
They could rattle off a bunch of mindless gibberish about what they hear on television and, that's about it.
This form of negativity is contagious.
Just look around the world.
It has spread quickly.

I think all young American dudes should be required to serve this country for at least 2 years. It builds character and a foundation for manhood.

I think it is a serious possibility, but it won't happen while the current president is in office. It will happen with the next president ensuring that he or she will be punished for George Bush's mistakes.

IF they do, I hope they draft all the liberal whiners first.
