Where were the black "due-process" protesters when the Duke lacrosse players were being publically lynched just a few miles down the road from where Mike Vick had his hearing?

(remember, in that case, the white school administrators, media, and law enforcement officials were also trying to hang those boys out to dry....)

wut is your opinion on the michael vick dog fighting incident? personally i think animal cruelty(dog fights) is one of the worst crimes a person can commit. plus the guy's already rich, why does he need to be involved in dog fights. honestly i think he deserves 10 years minimum in prison.

what im saying is,leading reasearchers have said that the terrorist's are using to spread the word and the terror, what if you found out that if the media stopped talking about terrorist, and it caused a major blow to them, they stopped talking about beheadings, and those slowed down, terrorist need a way to spread the fear,a look at me look at me,medium,if their "works" get noticed by no one, then they might get frustrated, look at celebritys in the news, its hard to forget about the paris thing,or the britany or lindsy incedents,,yeah it would cause attacks at first, but without the celebrity status these terrist have become, they might become nobodys.........just a thought, not saying it would work, just wondering what others thought on the subject.....besides what would the media report then.......good happy things......yeah right....

I wonder if they've considered presenting Sherrif Joe Arpaio, of Arizona, with some sort of Meritorious Service Award.
He certainly deserves it.
I'd contribute. You?

A few days ago, I heard a quick headliner on the news about smoke coming from a Senate building, but it's as if it was completely dropped. It scared the heck out of me, but it was as if it was just erased. Nothing on CNN, NBC, etc. What happened?

And how Britain displaced 750,000 Palestinians in 1948 in order to mandate a Jewish state (Israel) for the Jewish people?

What, had the Jewish come to one of our states and made it their own country, we'd still be their staunch supporters? Didn't think so.

(Not to say that they had anywhere else to go... But still, the fact that Israel is basically illegal seems to be completely disregarded by the West).

What is your honest take (besides that all liberals should hang and that Palestinians are Muslim so who cares about what we do with them)?

Is it because they have a nuke? And they don't threaten us with it because we give them a degree of respect/friendship that we rarely give anyone in the Middle East? Even as AlQueda is having a picnic all over their wild outdoors...

So is it any wonder Iran wants a nuclear?

My grandparents are having trouble with gangs hanging out in front of their house(they have a condo, so in the parking lot). They called police but they said they cannot do anything until they prove tey are doing something. Like she (my grandmother) called to say they were selling drugs, but the cops said unless they actually see them doing it, they can't do anything.

The cops have time to wit on the side of the road to give people speeding tickets but they can't do that. And i wish to be a lawyer in the future, so any advice on how to handle cases, or think up defenses for seemingly impossible to defend things, i would really appreciate it.

And if so do you find that most of them have exactly the same opinion about just about everything. It's as if different voices (Limbaugh, Hannity, Boortz etc) are reading the same script. I'm not saying that they are wrong, but rather that they, as does music radio, just sound the same and preach the same messages.

Everyday we hear the results of polls conducted relating to one thing or another. Most of these seem to be in regard to some political issue. We hear politicians say "the American people want - - "; is this based on the polls? Who conducts these polls? How are they conducted? Who decides who will be included in the poll? It seems to me that in most cases the politicians are wrong so are the polls anywhere near accurate? Is this concept like the old percentage drill – “82% of the people - - “ nobody challenges the figures so you can say about anything! I am almost 70 years old - no one has ever asked my opinion and I have never met anyone who has participated in one other than evening new one liners.

There were an awful lot of people here saying that, after the UK attacks recently, we had every right to know the personal details of the people who were allegedly involved. (I'm not on about the people caught at the scene, obviously, I'm talking about people who were suspected to be linked with it.) Many also said that the suspects should have been thrown in jail asap... without waiting for the facts.

Well, what do you say now, having read this?
"The case against Dr Haneef came under question after prosecution evidence made in a previous hearing was disputed. Prosecutors had claimed that the doctor's SIM card had been found in the burning car that crashed into Glasgow international airport on 30 June. But it later emerged the card had actually been found in a flat in Liverpool, some 300km (185 miles) from Glasgow, where his cousin lived. " http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/world/asia-pa...

Still think that we should know all the details before any guilt is established?

Hugo Chavez announced on Sunday that foreigners who publicly criticize his government will be deported. He ordered officials to monitor statements made by international figures visiting the country.

But I guess it was OK for him to come to the U.S. and critisize Bush?. He can dish it out but he can't take it. How sad.

in an attempt to put him above accountability, for their actions.

the peope in here and other forums showed the media, that the vast majority of people, still wanted them to be held to account, hence they are now asking the questions, they should have been asking from day one, because the media know that their sales wont drop, but increase.
I say this is true, so to all who have justice in mind for Madeleine, and ask these questions, well done, you have helped in finding the truth for the only victim in this case.

That

a) They only seem to remember it almost 3 months later despite Murat having been on the news only days after her disappearance and pretty much nearly every day since then.

b) If they saw him 'peeking' into the apartment, they chose to do nothing about it. Seriously if you saw a strange man peeking into the apartment, would you just carry on and let your friends keep their children in their unlocked apartment? What kind of friends are these to allow this to happen?

c) They claim they would recognise him anywhere, yet did not notice him despite the fact he was always around the media acting as a translator for days after her disappearance.

d) That it took a reporter to voice her suspicions of Robert Murat before he was taken in for questioning by the Police. The McCann friends said nothing for almost 3 months about Robert Murat, now suddenly its a certainty in their minds???

It seems that the McCanns local newspaper has been inundated with letters and emails regarding the couples 'apparent' neglect of their three children and calls for the couple to be investigated.

Now the newspaper has said that they are ignoring all of these letters and emails (which apparently are in there hundreds) and treating them as part of a 'hate campaign'.

Surely as a newspaper, they have a duty to print a balanced story of both sides?....

How can expressing an opinion be treated as hate campaign?
