Michelle G - That comment about if Gerry was on fire, thats part of my 'little something extra' comment I made where I like to say a few things for dramatic effect to ratchet up the impact of what Im saying :)
I'd probably put him out if he was on fire, but I'd wait till at least 2nd degree burns set in .......... joke!!! Calm down people.

I like a lot of your post Dave S and I respect your opinion, quite often your posts are witty and clever....
However..........lol
The post about letting Gerry burn because you would drop the water, is distasteful....your better than that.
That kind of line causes me to shout WITCH HUNT..........

Unique style? it might have been once, now you have all your little colonial women, hitching up their skirts and running after your wagon train, copying almost word for word, posts you've made previously that there's nothing unique about you.
You used to be a breath of fresh air, insightful, but with a touch of irony, factual without needing to resort to spite and anger.
I think you need to get outside a little more, stop letting your life be dictated and governed by your hatred of two people you don't know and never will know. It's one thing to have a cause and to state it, it's another to be so consumed with bile and venom that it takes over every aspect of your life, it must affect you and those around you.
And don't be saying, 'it's for Madeleine' because it isn't, just as you complain that Gerry's blog isn't about her and his trips here and there aren't about her, the majority of posts on here are not about her. Some of them make valid and concise points, but you have to look hard for those questions, because they're buried under all the rumours and trivia and assumptions.
I spend less and less time in here these days because of the aggression and threatening attitudes of people. I don't want my whole existence to be about the McCanns, there's more out there than this. And you just might have to accept that however much you post and write about this, no action might ever be taken against the McCanns, they've evaded it so far, to me, it looks as if they might escape it altogether. Are you going to spend the rest of your life drowning in a mire of bitterness and anger? Missing out on so many other things in your OWN life?
Look how it's changed you in the (almost) three months you've been devoted to this. And not just you, people I once liked and admired on here, all becoming so wrapped up in revenge and nastiness that I no longer answer their questions or take any notice of what they have to say. There are lots of people in this world, some doing terrible things on a par with the McCanns, it's not healthy to let this overtake your life in this way

Kind of think highly of yourself don't you? You and your opinions are insignificant in the over all scheme of things. You have found your life niche on an internet answer forum, so enjoy it if it makes you feel good. You obvioulsy do as you seem to think that you have a unique style and bring relevant points. Don't you see that it is only you and a fairly small group of web geeks who think that?
Get over yourself and do something worthwhile.
