ok so we have a lot of people who call for the banning of Harry Potter for it's supposed witchcraft implications. many calling fortune tellers and others are against the Bible. didn't Solomon go to a seer or fortune teller, weren't many of the Hebrews become seers and dream tellers or fortune tellers. I am not saying they practiced any witchcraft but by the edicts I am hearing on this debate they should have been thrown out as witches. if you don't want your kids reading the books. ok. why are you telling everyone else they can't read it as well? the Hebrews were among the Egyptians but didn't try to convert them. they were among the romans but weren't trying to convert them either. they just lived their life and showed what and how their life was filled letting others ask to learn not throwing it down their throats.
Do I have this wrong or should I put some quotes from the Bible on here that says to show not force others how to live?

Nuclear plants in North Korea or Iran, the missiles to be stationed in europe are already warheaded, North korea is just working in the testing and Iran has not yet finnish the plant to process the uranium.!!

Our soldiers are dying and/or being maimed in Iraq in order to protect our Paris Hilton/Anna Nicole Smith obsessed culture. Fox News coverage is constantly on her house while CNN is doing other news.

Should the media focus more on the 'good' things that happen in the world rather than solely focusing on the likes of war, violent crime, hate, bigotry, prejudice....etc

Or is there nothing 'good' in the world that needs reporting.

A couple of days ago, Barack Obama made a comment about a "quiet riot" amongst black people in the USA. Why didn't he talk about a "quiet riot" amongst white people? I cannot believe that he meant that black people are any more likely to riot than white people in his country so I will dismiss that possibility. No intelligent person would mean to say that.
However, what I am more curious about is the implication of the article. Do people in the USA really believe that black people are more likely to riot than white people? Isn't it true that white people riot just as much? As a matter of fact, why limit the discussion to white people? Isn't it true that Japanese-Americans, Cuban-Americans and Native Americans (or any group) are just as likely to riot in the USA?

Are you pro-parents or anti-parents?

Pro-parents - means you realise they have just made a mistake and can forgive them for that and you feel sympathy or empathy for them and you believe they are genuine people and are doing all they can to get Madeleine back and keep her in the public light. Your feelings for them range from forgivness to admiration.

Anti-parents - means you think they are partly responsible for Madeleines disapearence and you are shocked/upset by their campaign to bring Madeleine home and all the publicity it is generating and you have feelings ranging from dissaproval to comtempt or even hate for them.

I would be grateful if you could just answer Pro-Mccann or Anti-Mccann only as I have heard all the different reasons a thousand time and the purpose of the question is just to get a ratio of pro vs anti and not a part of the debate.

A week ago, I read that Paris Hilton is going to jail. A few days ago, I read that Paris reported for her sentence. Yesterday, I read that she's out of jail, and wearing the ankle bracelet. Today, I read that she might go back because of a bureaucratic squabble.
Wasn't it 10-11 years ago that this same justice system let O.J. Simpson go free? I'm not pointing fingers, I'm just curious...
