I am very interested to see the ratio and would appreciate your answers..
Are you pro-parents or anti-parents?
Pro-parents - means you realise they have just made a mistake and can forgive them for that and you feel sympathy or empathy for them and you believe they are genuine people and are doing all they can to get Madeleine back and keep her in the public light. Your feelings for them range from forgivness to admiration.
Anti-parents - means you think they are partly responsible for Madeleines disapearence and you are shocked/upset by their campaign to bring Madeleine home and all the publicity it is generating and you have feelings ranging from dissaproval to comtempt or even hate for them.
I would be grateful if you could just answer Pro-Mccann or Anti-Mccann only as I have heard all the different reasons a thousand time and the purpose of the question is just to get a ratio of pro vs anti and not a part of the debate.
Thank you. To start it off I am Pro-Mccann.

I did try to put a range in each category.
Pro - forgiveness to admiration.
Anti - Disapproval to hate.

I think that they are 100% responsible for their daughters abduction, there is absolutely no way that those 3 children (lets not forget that they left the other 2 under 5's as well) should have been left on their own at night in an hotel room! they are NOT responsible parents at all!! they keep saying that they are but how can they be? I am not however upset about the campaign to get Maddy home, I do find it a bit disturbing that the parents allow their pictures to be taken constantly, I think that I would be shying away from my own publicity and rather hand things over to a spokesperson, I understand that they appeared on Crimewatch? I am not against that, as that program is known to do a lot of good, but not comfortable with all the traveling to all the different countries, I would want to stay close to where my daughter disappeared.

i stand for the same now as i stood when i heard what happened-a poor child went missing and thats a tragedy-i dont watch the news or read p;apers so i havnt seen the publicity myself-but judging by some yahooers i guess the media etc are putting the parents in not such a good light. im not going to judge them poor people-they will live with their guilt for the rest of their lives its natural. it astounds me how people on here(of course not all) can slate those parents when they are going through what must be the worst time of their lives is beyond me. i would not walk one day in the mccans shoes and i wouldnt be so petty to be pro mccann or anti mccann-i dont know them from adam and i wont judge them either-none of this matters

And tough I am going to add more. You have unnecessarily forced people such as myself into saying they hate the McCann's. I do not hate them, I do not know them. I think they are wrong for neglecting their children that's all. If I was Pro that would mean that I condone them making the decision to leave them ans as a parent I don't condone this at all, so whereas I was on the fence a bit feeling sorry for them you have forced me into this category. I'd rather be an anti than a pro!!!

Not everything is as clear cut as that, but going by your criteria, I would fall into the Anti-parents, Pro-Madeleine group.
However, I would like to bring something to other people's attention.
ONLY a few hours ago, you posted a question asking people NOT to mention the McCanns again - I hope you read my reply to you, ESPECIALLY Point 6 - here's an extract from your question....
'.....I would be very grateful if you could consider using this as an opportunity to leave your final comments and summary and then leave it at that......

I am opposed to the decisions made by the parents.
I know you wanted a straight answer of pro or Anti.
But i don't find it that simple.
There are issues to be addressed and certain questions i would like asked.
I have at times been angry with them, and know that has shown in my replies to some questions.
I suppose you would label me as Anti. It is not a label i give myself, i would say i am more concerned than anything else.
Apologies for a long answer.

Anti Parents, Pro Madeleine.
(I will qualify the Anti bit by saying I don't hate them).

Anti. Although not for their loss (they made a bad mistake, but it was not intentional and they will be their own biggest critics) although they would face an investigation by Social Services in the UK. Just anti their current behaviour as they have turned into a couple of fame junkies. Sorry that i didn't just write 'Anti' but i feel your description of what each person is didn't fit me as it is too limited, and as it clearly carries bias. You may as well have written: "who agrees with me and therefore is right and who is wrong?"
